Well Done the Band!
Doghouse Riley

A big thank you to the band for a superb performance every week.

Nice to see Haley and the band featured during the final group dance. I think seeing the band in the background would add to the experience

The logic of hiding the band away in the dark in case they distract from the performances has always been daft in my opinion, as with the constant change of camera angles and all the "swooping" sections, we're never in position to appreciate the performances anyway.

Well said. They were great tonight, songs very well sung, and very well played in the case of the Santana number on the guitar. Beautiful! I agree, it was nice to see them brought to the fore. Well deserved IMO.

I can only stand and clap such a great professional group of performers.
They make the X-Factor lot seem so amateur.
Oh...they are.

They are always brilliant and I can't understand why they are not shown more often or given more praise, especially the main singers.

The Santana number was excellent . Another stand out number was Tommy Blaize singing Unchained Melody.

I disagree with the OP and prefer that band in the dark as I would find them too much of a distraction if they were lit, the case in point being the Unchained Melody. It was so good I was focusing on the singer instead of the dance.

Are the singers the same as the last series?
This time round they've been brilliant. I loved the one who sang with (and showed up) Brucie a week or two ago.

That was Lance Ellington, son of the great Ray Ellington

As was suggested by someone ese,
I can't see the band being a distraction, they are too far away from the main action and you'd only get glimpses of them as you do now but only of the singers, as the rest are always in shadow.

It's a "show" so they could make it more so, they've made enough other changes this year.

I was thinking that last week about the singers
and what choice people had to vote for on the
X Factor final. No comparison at all.

I liked the Wild Rose song that Matt and Aliona were dancing to, does anyone know who sings it ?

The original song? That was Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue.

Thanks for that, for some reason I imagined it was a much older song.
