This

Kara deserved to win but I would have liked Matt to win.

I thought the judges bar Craig were always harsh on him and seemed to want others to win rather than him. Kara was always told how great she was and hardly given any fault.

True about the timing as well. Matt had to juggle things whilst Kara didn't tbh.

All I'll say is, unless you know all of the finalists personally then you don't know. It's all perception only, so perhaps you should add in your opinion or from what you've seen.

Sorry, not being tetchy, but just saying, that's all.

Apologies KipsKaz that you thought I did not give my own opinion.

I happened to share the same one as pabird - and by saying that I shared the same one as him, that to me DOES indicate that I was indicating where my opinion lay, since it was the same as his (am assuming you are a man pabird? if not, so sorry! ).

You are quite right, it IS all perception only, unless, as you say, you know the people involved. I do actually know the pro partner of one of the finalists, which is why I hold the opinion I do, as indicated above.

Apologies again though. What a poor forum member I was!

I'm sorry too. I just re-read my post and it comes across a little harsh

I wasn't picking you out but just that your post was linked with the previous one (pabird's). Just a generalisation that we don't really know these celebs, although I'm sure Kara is probably a very nice person

I admittedly haven't watched the whole of this series - got bored with the Ann Widdecombe stuff and switched off on a Saturday, but I wasn't at home last night and instead was at the home of someone who DOES watch. I watched the dances and - even though I didn't warm to her in the few weeks I did watch - I can admit that Kara danced well BUT I don't think that she came off as sincere and grateful at the end. Her crying was even less convincing than my 10 year old niece when she doesn't get her way. She's an actress, they get paid to ACT and this is how I felt her sincerity last night came across, fake.

Well done she won, but I voted for Matt and he was very gracious in his losing.

she's a better dancer than she is actress, so i for one thinks she's anything but fake.

So, are you saying that if you are an actress you are fake??

Also, can you please explain how one cries "convincingly"? (is this even a word? )

Also how does your 10 year old niece not getting her way relate to Kara who got her way and won???

It is very easy to brand someone fake. You just say "you're fake", and it's done. You have nothing to justify your "impression" of Kara you just call her fake for the sake of it. Or is it because your favourite didn't win? A bit pathetic, if you ask me.

Matt was fortunate to make the final - Scott was as good as Matt but practised less, and it showed in the end. Matt certainly has ability, but his gymnastic display of a show dance did not deserve second place. The judges had it absolutely right, as they usually do. I'm glad the public showed some sense this year and picked the right winner between the final two.

Yes a man and there is a mabird
We danced in competitive ballroom for circa ten years and thrilled that despite all the other stuff this year the best dancer won

Looks like the terrible triplets sobered up after all.
Were they at the same Strictly Final Party?
Seems they were more upset about Kara and Artem getting together for some reason - perhaps an ex or 2?

Well done Kara AND Artem but look out for the bunny boilers
