Lovely thread Strictly Irish - I'm scared how often I agree with everything you say!

I loved Matt from week one and I think he has been a superb contestant. The three finalists were the best three dancers and any of them deserved to win.

I don't see what some people see when they post negative comments about Matt's personality. He has been nothing other than wonderful as far as I could see.

Hopefully, he will go from strength to strength!

I agree whole heartedly, I enjoyed a lot of Matts dancing but enjoyed kar's more , in other years he could have been a worthy winner

I especially like the way he was so gracious in defeat and kara so humble in victory, both really nice people

Absolutely, very well done to Matt. I voted for Kara last night but I was hoping that he would join her in the final two- perfect result for me in the end! He would have been a very worthy winner and I suspect the voting may have been very close last night as I know many of my friends were in the same state as me trying to choose between the pair of them up until a couple of weeks ago, when most of us decided one way or the other. Charming man, talented dancer and a gracious runner-up, he's been a brilliant competitor this series.

I just love Matt, he was so gracious in defeat and such a gentleman. Kara and Artim deserved to win. I was a bit disappointed by Matt and Aliona's Show Dance and appalled, yet again, by the constant negitive comments from the judges. After giving his all in his dance routine, getting a standing ovasion from the audience, he had to face the sour faced judges who torn his performance apart. They constantly did this to Matt, nearly destroying any confidence he had managed to build during the three months of Strictly. WHY? So many mistakes from Pamela Stephenson were totally ignored by the panel and just about every time Matt appeared they went to town on him. He seems a very llikeable person so I am confused as to why the judging panel seemed so set against him.
