Complete BS, all of it.

I don't think it would be wrong for a 23 year old to earn £100,000 pa if they were capable of doing the job. Why not? Anyway, Chris didn't win, Stella did and she is only 30, hardly an old woman.

£100,000 a year is not a huge salary if you live in London.

Such an informative post. Well done.

All of it? even the bit where I said Stella would win?

I realise you said she would win. It was the erroneous reasons you gave for her win that made me

Maybe he will be worth this sort of salary a few years down the line when he has worked his socks off and proved himself but as a starting salary - just plain wrong IMO.

I know thats the rules of the show but it will really annoy me if he wins. For that reason - go Stella!”

I don't think Karren Brady would agree with you; she was 'only' 23 years of age when she became MD of Birmingham City Football Club. Age is irrelevant and you can't pick and choose to suit. How would it sound if you was to say that a 60 year old didn't deserve to earn 100 K because they didn't need the money at their time of life? I think your argument doesn't even get off the starting block.

I think someone should be paid what their performance reflects, regardless of age. Was the former ceo of m&s not ceo at 33? Most of us would say 33 is far too young to be ceo of a giant corporation.

On the other hand though, i do agree that with 9 months work experience i would be amazed if he could jusyify to his peers in viglen why he'd be on such a big wage with the experience he brings. None of the candidates struck me as entrepreneurial geniuses (which would be worth 100k) so it is a lot of money for a corproate warrior-type.

The Apprentice is all about making Lord Sugar even richer. How about changing the format so other UK businesses can benefit? I'd tell you what would be a good idea, how about a Dragons' Den type show where small business owners compete for money to develop their own companies.

TA is moving a step towards that next year.

Yes, if that's what Lord Sugar's willing to pay and they are willing to earn

Actually, it is we who are paying.

The salary is paid by the production company who are paid by the BBC who get their money from ... us.

why should LS get a worker for nothing. If she really increases his business shouldnt he be paying her. I cant understand it at all.
I wonder do the other candidates get paid at all.

Chris could have had a lot more work experience if he'd left school at 15 like Stella!

A good education is worth money.

Stella did well in her career and to get the job.
