I have noticed a lot of people on the forums tonight weren't happy with the change of showdance slot. I actually think it was a good idea, and have wondered why they didn't do it that way in the past.

The showdance is meant to be the 'wow factor' dance that often times decides the winner and pulls in the swing voters. It has always seemed a bit odd to me that such an important dance has been left to very end in a 3 person final. In the past, the third finalist never got a chance to try and convince the swinging voters and always seemed a bit unfair. So I can see why the producers changed the format. Just a shame that none of the show dances had an overly big impact tonight, as I think if any of them produce a faultless 'WOW' routine, there was more time for voters to have their say, and I think it could of changed the results tonight.

Anyway, just thinking out loud.

I have mentioned it already. To me...the show dance is the ultimate...therefore it should be the last dance danced. What was occurring this time round? Why was the show dance danced so early? Wasn't liking it.

P.S. Bring back the dance-off next year.

Didn't like the format tonight

I think it ruined the final for me, because the best dancer (Kara) got injured and it affected not only the showdance but the entire second half of the show. I love Kara, but she won on her performances from the entire series, not her performance in the final itself. To see her in pain the entire night and only able to perform at half her usual energy, wincing and making mistakes was tough and it must have been even worse for her. Leave the showdance to the end, or better yet scrap the bloody thing. The pros need rules to choreograph their best work and after 8 series it's apparent that without them, most of them get it so, so wrong.

Kara was pretty amazing though, that rumba was sensational.

I sit on the fence about the show dance. It is good to see all three do their show dance. It may or may not be the deciding factor - Pamela and James did a beautiful show dance but they still went out first.

I still think the showdance should be at the end and not scored by the judges. Also thought it was a great shame that Pamela didn't get to perform her AT.

Initially my thoughts were that the showdances should be at the end as a grand finale but the quality last night was disappointing, from all of them, and I was happy that the new/favourite dances were the best ones to have in the second half.
