I think that it will go one way or the other.

The yanks may fall for her good looks and ambitious drive. Or on the other hand, they will perceive her as being a talentless girl who got lucky.

I think that her stint on USA X Factor will either be a triumph or disastrous. There's no in between ground ie that she will be considered an average judge and popstar.

Which why do you think it will go for her?

Shes talentless and isnt very nice to look at.

Shes far to skinny, unbelievably skinny and I suspect it takes many many hours to put her slap on.

Americans can be idiots so they many be thick enough to like her, the UK certainly was. Some people are so unimaginably thick you could sell them anything.

On Chattyman, she says she didn't get the stint but that could be a fakeout.

I think she could get respectable success but I think she will get a reality check.

That's just my opinion ; it will either be a great success or a failure. She can't afford to be perceived as being average over there as this would mean go back to the UK Cheryl.

When was this interview?

Simon was supposed to have announced the line-up by now.

She didn't actually say that:
“There have been conversations but who knows what will happen.

“I had such a mind full of stuff to deal with before last Sunday’s final. I have had no time to get my head round anything.

“Moving to the States is such a life-changing thing that I need time to sit down and think what I want to do.”
If she has signed a deal she will not be allowed to talk about it.

It comes out on Monday. She has discussed it but not in an official manner in the way that the tabs would have had everyone believe. Nothing has actually been signed.

From the off Simon said he was open to bringing Cheryl with him. Fox execs attended the show, and the tabs predictably went and ran and ran with it.

She would still be plastered all over the papers.

Maybe if she hit taylor Swift.

It seemed to all but end Kanye Wests career.

That is the land where Britney Spears became a star.

And the good news is that they tolerate their talent show judges miming as well (Paula Abdul mimed on Idol a few years back).

I'm sure we could persuade Taylor to make up a story and bruise her self. We could offer her more UK airplay.

I think its the lowest of the low to mime on a talent show you are judging. Just awful.

some of you make it sound like America is this big place full of talented artists etc but you don't have to sing like Mariah to get a #1 there.. otherwise how do you explain Ke$hit...

besides, its not what you know, it's who you know.. Cheryl has the promotion in that sense sorted.

I know where your coming from, the charts are very fixed in the sense of airplay.

But as an artist its nic to no your able to crack every market, ivf i was in the music areer, my aim would be to break into as much countries as possiable.

Maybe. But don't count on the likes of Rihanna to promote her. She will have to graft like there is no tomorrow because they are not going to help someone snatch their wig. People aren't picking up songs because of who that person knows. Jay Sean knows Young Money, Jay Z etc etc. He wont be seeing any kind of success like he did with his last album.

Kelly Rowland knows far more influential people than someone like Cheryl.. as does Nicole Scherzinger but they weren't promoted by the peers because they are competition. its more than simply "who you know"

Ke$ha won't last. at all. Please do not compare Britney who is an icon to Cheryl. Britney has also sung live loads of times.

Its actually Australia who are more unforgivable when it comes to the miming.

There's hope then

Ermm... wouldn't try it in China any time soon

My thoughts...

1 Unlikely they'll understand a word she says
2 Compared to Nicole, Cheryl says nothing worth listening to in her 'judging comment' (for lives at least)... as in when does she ever comment on the vocals? It's all about the styling etc that the wannabees have no/very little control over.
3 Posh received some appalling comments on her judging for AI which was similarly superficial.
4 What format will they have for auditions? In front of an audience - in which case more of 1 above
5 Will an American wannabee want to be mentored by an unknown?

In summation... EPIC FAIL

Will she come back with her tail between her legs... who knows... if she buys a place out there, maybe she'll stay a awhile working with Will.i.am (assuming of course he's not too busy with his new protoge - Cher. BTW: Has anyone suggested that she might need to change her stage name?).

They already have The Kardashians, Paris Hilton and other socialites.

But are ofcourse assuming that they will be bothered about anything other than who the winner is to begin with.

Talentless is your opinion and I'm certain Americans will makes it own mind up whether they like her not.

From my experience of being there they don't care what you do or where you come from as long you're willing to work for it.
