Plus a prism should be clear so that all the colour spectrum can be refracted through it when white light shone on it....the colour being red will prevent the red colour wavelength being shown!

Pyramids have four sides.
I think you mean faces.

Pyramids can have various numbers of faces. A tetrahedron, or triangular based pyramid has 4 faces. A rectangular based has 5, pentagonal based has 6, a circular based (or cone) has an infinite number of faces.

Pyramid's can have any number of sides as long as it's three or above.

It's very hard to make a three dimensional object with less than three plane faces (sides).

The realisation of a mobius strip in three dimensions with plane faces has four such faces.
