Fewer tricks, less props, more dancing

As Kara has demonstrated, really great dancing does more than tricks and props. I found the other stuff was just a distraction. Would prefer more pure dance in the next series.

Or when props are used to use them well like the chair in her Tango.

I could have done without the chair in her tango and the American Smooth that wasn't. Not to mention the mezzanine, the laptops, the swing, the doors, the benches and lampposts etc etc that all the others used.

Waste of bloody time.

They should also set down the rules - what constitutes a lift? When are they allowed? How much of each dance should be in hold? What are the deductions in marks for rule breaking?

Clarify it please, for all our sakes - the judges, the pros and the audience!

I enjoyed the props and tricks especially in the earlier rounds.
When the competition is about entertainment the props and tricks are good fun but as the series progresses then dancing hopefully will become the main focus.
