But, most bizarrely, I may have my ex round on Christmas day. His flight to Prague on Monday was cancelled so he's stuck in the UK and his current wife is with her family in Prague. Daughter has invited him round for Christmas dinner and son has grumbled mightily about this. Ex says he's thinking it over and will let us know. I think he thinks I carry a torch for him because I've never remarried, whereas my reasoning is I was married to him for 16 years. Haven't I suffered enough? Of course, as he has a Brucie-sized ego, he never manages to actually hear this.”

I'm a veggie but still do the meat thing for my hubby and kids... i'm a believer that just because not eating animals is my principle I won't force it on to the rest of the family. The kids can make up their own minds when they're older.

Thank god there are others that can't stand CQ.

Ew, horrible olympic mascots... no wonder the Canadians are laughing.

Moi aussi. I hate the whole concept behind the ad campaign. It's so 'aspirational middle class' with its smug message about your guests being impressed with your brilliant food and not guessing that you bought the lot in M&S because you are so clever, and you have so much style. Beyond naff.

*barf* All we need now is a hostess trolley and Alan Ayckbourne grumbling in the corner, scribbling notes

Tsk, tsk! Have you ever handled one of them? Shiny, shiny nylon fluff that comes off on your gloves. Cheap, nasty and not child friendly at all. Even the cartoon about them is vile. And as for the story of their 'birth'...

*retches*

Ahem, whispers, my stepmother still uses hers - I've never understood them, takes ages to fill up, ages to clean and the food may be hot, but it has dried out, and they take up space - so you are always tripping over the thing when you go to the loo, especially after a couple of glasses of plonk. Why the f*ck can't she dump the dishes on the middle of the table like the rest of us plebs.

Do not try to learn AT in a ballroom dance studio unless they have hired in a proper AT dancer to teach you.

PM me and I'll pass on some useful links for you to start with.”

Thanks sofakat! I'll PM you.

Well naturally not. I'm just comparing them to the giant blue shit-nugget from Atlanta, or the diabetic-coma Sydney mascots, or whatever "back-of-a-fag-packet" Pokemon knock-off China did. I haven't got my hands on any merchandise yet. Nor am I ever likely to.

But they have had their Extremely Chocolatey biccies on half price, whch means I have very happy team meetings. And quick too because they're all too busy nomming to talk

Does she sing the Victoria Wood song about 'bend me over backwards on me hostess trolley'?

I'm not keen on the Olympics at the best of times - too expensive, too many bliddy tourists getting in the way and blocking up public transport while I'm trying to get to court, and the Irish never win nuffink anyway, bliddy conspiracy so it is.

And then the 2012 logo - ever since someone said that it looked like Lisa Simpson performing an unnatural act on Bart, that's all it looks like to me.

Ooooh, do I spy SYTYCD videos? Nice!

I think I might have to dig up some of my faves from YT to show you all. Not now though, brain won't function anymore after 12 hour day. Just one more, will do a mental jump for joy when it's over (feet probably won't want to jump anymore by that point)

Hope everyone will have a very musical (as in getting tromboned etc) Xmas. May your days be merry and even more merry!

OK, just the one treat for Xmas then. Anyone for a Lyrical HipHop routine? So so good. Dollhouse

Have a feeling I may be robbing that one and passing it off as mine (like SmugQuentin with M&S food).

There was a fair amount of short-dated stuff in my Sainsbury's tonight. Along with basic £5+ puds. Madness.

Oh for an untainted Irish medal...

Must unappreciate Widdecombe on Millionaire tonight. There goes a woman who so believes in her own hype - that everyone loves this self-deprecating, so-honest-she's-rude boor. Damn you Strictly, you've created a monster!

Didn't she say she was fed up with the show biz, to the point she didn't even want to watch TV anymore? Maybe she meant she doesn't want to watch anyone else other than herself on tv anymore. Who knows...

I'd like to unappreciate that on the first day of my holiday I woke up with a hedgehog in each lung and concrete up my nose, fell over in Morrisons carpark and twanged my knee, then limped home to discover the boiler had packed up

With all that in mind, I'd like to wish everyone an Unappreciative Christmas, and a New Year filled with petty complaints, outbreaks of spite and all the flouncing that you could wish for

Love it - thanks.

Thanks also to all who post on here, have laughed and, almost, cried with frustration with you throughout the last three months as you discussed the sublime ......and the ridiculous...... (insert names as appropriate) .

I even became a closest Gavin appreciator.

Wishing all a very merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Happy Christmas all - may your day be merry and bright.

See you for some non-appreciation of the Christmas Special tomorrow evening.
