Just as a matter of interest, what night is it shown in the US?
Are we very far behind them?”

I could be wrong but I think it is Thursday, so we are a week behind.

Yeah but the voice wasn't worth the rest of the sh*t you had to put up with

I'm loving the Tylerman's frilly blouses too.

Now look, I have to fess up that I'm not watching 'American Idol' because I never have and I don't even know how to...don't even know which damned channel its on etc...but I do know that Mr Tyler has an orifice to die for...

I also know that it has an overdose of 'warblers' on it...wimmen singing arpeggio on every note till it makes your nipples twang....simply can't cope

I love Kirstie Alley and now she's the size of very glamorous water buffalo I will be watching 'Dancing With The Stars' for the very first time...to cheer her on...

*she wants to lose 30 lbs in training...well. I think the floor may get very slippery and greasy as the fat just slides offa her but it could make her quickstep go with a real slide

This is my first time with Idol too, (an Idol virgin ) and have to fess up that it is only the charms of the divine Mr Tyler and the aforementioned orifice that has enticed me in. It is on Freeview 6. The warblers are not so many this year - so I am told - probably because of the abscence of Mr Scowell.

I will also be cheering on the lovely Kirstie Alley, and if she wants to lose weight dancing is the weigh (ha ha, ok so it's Saturday night and I'm on my 2nd glass of wine, it was funny to me) to go.

Can someone please explain to me the attraction of Charlie Sheen, everyone seems to be going mad for him right now, yech.

I am watching Idol this year as well, never have stuck it out before maybe it was Scowell

With Kassie on the Charlie Sheen question, never have liked him. Much preferred Emilio, but the drugs seem to have addled Charlie's brain and expanded his ego to monumental proportions

Thank heavens it's not just me then, everyone I talk to thinks he's hilarious I'm like huh?. Wasn't Emilio in the Breakfast Club?, if so, yes I like him too.

Poor old Charlie...became a fully paid up member of 'The Me Me Me Club' ...then stroked his ego with a whole variety of fizzy sherbets until he frizzled his noodle....shame,shame,shame...

Oh it way too late for that one Chita..he's been there and done that....

Mr Gump went up to investigate the loft when we moved house which had TWO loft hatches..

He went up one hatch...crawled along towards the other...leaned on it...it sprang open (had a ladder attached on BIG springs)
...so he was catapulted through the hole, bounced head first offa the wall and crash landed on both wrists......

....nee-naw...nee-naw...nee-naw...here comes the blood wagon....

Thank goodness he was catapulted through the hole and not the ceiling!!!!!!!!!

See, there's always a silver lining.

At work last night we had a low stage.
But it wasn't as low as I thought, so as I put a leg down to leave the stage and stand on the floor, the floor was further away than I thought so I fell. I did a kind of parachute jump descent and rolled onto the floor.
The organisers and Mr Rivera came to see if I was ok [which I was] and he just told them I was a part-time stuntwoman.
Trouble is, they believed him and were asking what films I'd worked on.

I don't get the Charlie Sheen love, either.
He's not THAT good an actor.

And I can't bear unprofessional behaviour.

Glad you are ok Chita, hope you managed it with dignity and elegance.

The funny thing is my next door neighbour is a stuntwoman, she has worked on many films, the only one I remember is the Prince of Persia.

Sheen is an asshole, why the hell everyone has started to hang on every word he says is beyond me.

Yeh, I'm ok thanks.

It was as we were setting up for the show.
So only a few organisers were there and they were all busy setting out tied balloons& weights to all the tables etc.
And we were just carrying in all the instruments and PA equipment etc.

So the scale of embarrassment from one to ten was only a two because no one saw it happen, really.

What a twit I am.

I will non appreciate my twittishness.

Good Heavens Chita...starting the act off with a triple toe loop salco...impressive...well it is 'Schlepping on Ice' night tonight which I would like to unappreciate from the get go even though Karry Katona has gorn orf....yay!

Won't be watching AGAIN...watched the first one mostly on FF and it was simply abysmal and an affront to my eyeballs.

Can I also seriously unappreciate that it looks like Brucie Karloff is going to be exhumed YET AGAIN for next season

Where is an embalmer when you need one

What annoys me most about Bruce Forsyth is all this 'it was the results show which exhausted him' business.

Why can't he admit he is too old to do the job?
Why can't he step aside after a very long & successful career and let someone else have a chance?

If you are too tired to carry out your duties then it's time to retire.

True, but most of the duffers have gone now. Just Deadknees Squelch still hanging on in there, others can all skate a bit (or at least fake it a bit) or are Johnson Beharry, who is trying and improving and therefore I want him to continue at least one more week.

I have a fantasy about DoI. (Worry not, it's not the kind of fantasy where small children and maiden aunts need to leave the room.) It's about some A-plus-plus-lister that the ptb would kill to get on the show - think Prince William/Kate Middleton/Colin Firth/J-Lo/Robbie Williams/Madonna (ie not someone I'd be specially bothered about, just someone they just couldn't turn down). This person's agent or whatever gets on the phone and says their client really wants to do the show, but only if the HLM and the blonde bint are kicked off the panel and replaced with two people who really know what theyre talking about, at least one of whom must be a skater.

Will Bruce Forsyth do?

Maybe THEN he'll let someone else have a go at presenting Strictly.

It's a shame Music Hall and Variety are dead.
In the old days he would have been dragged off stage by the stage manager's crook.

I'd love to see that happen on Strictly.

Deadknees has gone... Woo Hoo!

(I'm just as pleased as when Katatonic went, just don't have the energy to get quite so excited...)

Is 'deadknees' Denise Welch?

Is it true her husband had a drunken rant directed at the nasty judge and that it was a set up just to get Denise MORE publicity?

Pardon my putting my answers in bold, but still can't do the multi-quote thing...

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.”
