Good news on Pasha joining, buh-bye Jared!

Watched the SYTYCD Meet the Top20 show and enjoyed it more than the whole of UK series 2. I laughed more (Monkseals blog aside of course) and the dances were fab. The only one I didn't enjoy so much was the tap duet but maybe I've had my fill of "tap" for this week.

See that Megan Mullaly is a guest judge on the show this week. If Karen Walker is sat on one side of Nigel and Mary Murphy on the other I think the man might go deaf.

I'd love to watch it but I don't know where to find it

I'm pretty sure you'll be able soon.

Am also appreciative of the fact that Katya is back.

And to keep with the spirit of the thread: Anton? why? Any other aging politicians interested in dusting the dancefloor/changing lightbulbs in Television Centre whilst being suspended above a fearful audience?

After the Anne fiasco last year, guarenteed they'll give him someone with actual talent, only to go out early cos of his crappy latin.....

I just hope it's not someone I might like!

Anton and Erin again?
Why?

It's time they were both retired off.

But if Anton is staying that's a pretty big clue they will be casting a duffer for him to push and pull around the floor again.

Ian was my favourite.
Really can't understand why they let him go.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Arlene is going to be helping the Pro dancers with some choreography?

I bloomin' well hope not . The pros are used to putting together their own choreography and are more than capable given that they do it every day when they are teaching students . Arlene might be a theatre choreographer but she isn't a ballroom dancer.
(Though one of the retired pros is very welcome to help Aliona remove the inapproprate choreography from her routines as far as I'm concerned. No more bump and grind thrusting on the floor and landing on your partner on the floor to end dances please)

Maybe they didn't. Maybe he wanted to go. Maybe he ran screaming, as fast as those twinkling toes would take him.

I would like to unappreciate tonight's Apprentice. Could Natasha be any more obnoxious? And I found the other team's concept incredibly patronising. It looked like something they sell in Holland & Barrett.

ETA - if that woman squeaks 'It's soooooooooooooo unfair' once more I will reach into my TV and smack her around the ears.

He didn't want to go - he's been waiting to hear from the BBC for the last few weeks. I would like to unappreciate the way the BBC have treated him! Stupid Dance Troupe last year and this year nothing.

I thoroughly unappreciate the method in which favourite SCD pro dancers are dumped by the BBC. It's so rude.

Pasha is fab, I am sure he will be a big hit on Strictly. And yes, him and Lacey were great together.

I think ITV should start up a show called "Stars Learn to Dance". Pros to include Ian and Camilla, Darren and Lilia, and both Cutlers. Judges (3) to include one ballroom/latin expert, one 'other dance' expert (preferably CRH if he can be poached) and one non-dance-other-entertainment background, perhaps a different guest judge each week. Host to be non-cringeworthy, preferably eye-candy for at least part of the population and inoffensive to the rest (bimbos of either gender need not apply). And camerawork to be controlled by a DOT.

I think it'd be a winner!

(PS I hereby declare this idea copyright free. Wouldn't want us to miss out just because ITV were afraid of being sued!)

So long as it didn't include Barrowman! and wasn't presented by Schofield, I'd be in!

My pleasure ma'am *ticks helmet*

Just watched the Apprentice threepeat: Ye Gods, that Jim is a bullsh*tter, isn't he? The whole Venture was watching a car-crash unfolding in ultraslow-motion. Off to read Monkseal and see if there is a mention of Susie accepting Nick's hand in marriage. *chuckles*

All I can say about this suggestion is that you are clearly a Genius and I wish you were running the BBC

ITV, shurely?

(Of course, you're absolutely right about the Genius bit...)

I feel the need to unappreciate some of the men in my dance class. Whilst I should appreciate that there actually are men in my dance class, these ones need unappreciating. First up there is the chap I have nicknamed LCM (Lewd Comment Man). LCM first came to my attention several months back when he decided to make a remark at me comparing his dancing skills to his bedroom skills (he's really not a good dancer so that one somewhat backfired on him! (although as he thinks he's a wonderful dancer he doesn't know that)). Unfortunately I got saddled with dancing with LCM in my last class and instead of dancing the routine we've been taught he decided to make up his own steps that don't exist
I also need to unappreciate B.O.Man. The reason for my unappreciation of him speaks for itself in the nickname. Whilst at the other end of the spectrum there is TMA (Too Much Aftershave). He needs unappreciating because sometimes I want to sneeze when I'm dancing with him and I can smell his aftershave on my clothes afterwards (I can't say it's the nicest smelling aftershave in the world)
Now I would like the men to smell nice/fresh/clean but they don't actually need to douse themselves in quite so much aftershave to do that. It's not too much of an ask is it?

I want to unappreciate Michelle Collins joining Corrie. I can't stand the woman and she's already ruining the only soap I watch. Please can we have another tram crash and can she be underneath it?

I wouldn't want such a brilliant programme being interrupted by crap adverts every fifteen minutes so you'll have to run the beeb instead...sorry!

Oh, and while I'm talking to the future director/producer of this great new show, I'd like to put in a request that Camilla, Lillia, Nicole and Erin have their own 30min slot during the show where they just sit around talking about whatever the hell they like? Thank you

Oh, all right. But only if I can have a similar slot for Artem and Ian. <sigh>

Muchly unappreciating 'The Voice'. I feel bad unappreciating something that has barely been announced, but I still muchly unappreciate.

Because if it's been brought in specifically to compete against XF, it means SCD will lose its autumn slot, if it survives at all.

The Voice will probably air at the beginning of next year and will not directly compete with X-factor (for now) If it is a massive success they might schedule a second series for autumn next year but I do think the Beeb might not even do that seeing the SCD/Merlin combo works very well for them in the Autumn. Yes the Lottery and Casualty take a hit that time of year but going head to head wouldn't do either channel any favours.

I would think The Voice will go where SYTYCD went this year. I've also got a feeling it'll die on its arse, but we shall see.
