I think he was genuinely shocked by Stella, I can half understand why she did it, she was so close just needed to give it a final push, but then at the same time it is not a decent thing to do at all.
Chris was right, she should have focused on her own merits rather than putting him down at her profit. Although she did have a difficult childhood she can't know how much passion he has got and she can hardly give an objective decision about which of them had more.
It was a real shame, she was the outstanding candidate and will push on with her career but it was desperate. The moment she did it I hoped Chris would win- I don't think he could control his reaction- I would have been furious.
