Kara - torn ligaments in her arm

Poor kid!! Torn ligaments in lower arm explain how she was able to carry on dancing, but every extension of her arm must have hurt more and more. And there were viewers wanting "more emotion" from her!!

You can rub anti-pain gels into muscles, but ligaments are harder to handle. Damaged ones limit but don't block movement.

Hats off to Kara - I think she doubly deserves her win.

It wasn't obvious when she danced her rhumba. It became apparent on the second show! But how did that explain her 10s? Still glad she won though.

"anit pain" - am word-blind this morning, like our heroine.

Also spelled Bruce as Burce on another post - mind you, he wouldn't notice the difference.

My top left arm muscles ache from an all-day rehearsal yesterday. I admire Kara even more today.

If she has any sense (and I'm sure she has) she will be wearing a removable splint on that lower arm/wrist

Her arm is out of action for several weeks. That means no lifting, and getting dressed will present problems.

Why bother if she's at home being nursed by Artem

Kara got 10's on her AS because she was better than a 10 anyway. Only because they give them out like sweeties too early. She was able to nab a 10 even when under par personally.

10's for her Waltz - yes, perhaps there was sympathy going on there. Was it fair? Dunno, much the same as Scott got with 9's for turning up. However, Scotts judges score actually counted. Karas only had the liklihood of losing votes for overmarking - so it didn't do her any good at all.

I think she had it in the bag anyway to be honest. People just loved everything about her and she is a sublime dancer.
