Should it really be called 'The Apprentice' anymore?

So, no more Stella for Chris!! I do believe the right people were in the final and the correct candidate won in the end. I also think if Sugar continues at the helm, the show should be renamed - 'Get someone for free with half a brain to help maintain Sugar's fortune.' He definitely doesn't want an actual apprentice as he indicated with his boardroom comment: "Do I want someone with more experience, or do I need the aggravation of training someone?"

You can still have a beginner apprentice or a more experienced apprentice.

Although you're right, the show probably shouldn't be called 'The Apprentice' but I would argue this has always been the case!

Think about it - how many 'apprentices' are on 10K a year, let alone 100K!

The fact that Stella is now working as a Project Manager implementing projects for hospitals and schools for the Viglen Group shows that Sugar didn't really want an "apprentice".

How many apprentices are Project managers earning 100k a year?

Is this the best position/job to be offered to any former winner??......I must admit it seemed obvious to me from the first show that Sugar was looking for a trusted...steady pair of hands this year.......I still believe Sugar and Co had her card marked for the final after she revitalised the boy`s team in wk2

Agree that it shouldn't be called The Apprentice- the actual apprentice in his organisation is the first name on this list

Was also MD of Amsair

gives you an idea about how Sugar works.

I'm clearly over-thinking things, but I was reading about apprenticeships and they are something undertaken from six months to a year, with the possibility of a job at the end. We know that the two finalists spend six months working for Lord Sugar before he hires one of them. Is that what the title really refers to, those two apprentices?

As the BBC bought the franchise from Mark Burnett I doubt they have much choice in what they call it. Mind you, in Germany it is called Big Boss although I can't see Alan Sugar agreeing to that
