OH MY GOD...
Are you people insane..TONY BEKE has to be the worst suggestion ever.
Did you not see him on HOLE IN THE WALL or that cooking show....He is the worst presenter ever.
BBC's options=
STEVE JONES.
NORTON,
BARROWMAN,
MATT BAKER,
CHRIS COLLINS,
JONATHAN ROSS.
The list is short.
Tess should host the main show and Claudia back stage....It really worked this year

Well that's me told without so much as imo.

Guess I'll just consign my opinions to the file 'considered unworthy by Doghouse Riley's standards.'

I don't think Stephen Fry (as lovely as he is) would want to do Strictly, Ignazio. He doesn't like dancing. See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5Xbju8xmcg Something he has in common with other panel show habitues. I remember David Mitchell expressing similar views, although his reservations were more about the pointlessness of it all (just going round and round the room).

As for Vernon Kay. no, No, NO!!!!!!!

I know he's too major a talent to host a reality show and he's made some crushing comments about the dumbing down of tv - but I'd love to see him take on the judges with his brilliant wit.

Just one of those fantasies.

Edit; that clip made me laugh out loud.

Doh!

Of course it's my opinion, you'd hardly expect me to express that of anyone else, would you?

You're entitled to your own, if you think Fry would make a good presenter, I don't mind, why should I care?

File them where you like, I won't even offer a suggestion.

to add my 2 penneth......

I think Anton to replace Brucie, and Erin to replace Tess. Their banter would work a treat.

On ITT, Erin has proven that she has an unbelievable sense of humour and I think would be ideal to chat with the contestants.

Because of the packed content in these programmes, what's required is a host who will keep things moving, not waste time trying to be the centre of attention and attempt to make it "their show."

Few of the suggested replacements would not try to behave in that way.

I don't mind Vernon and would prefer him every day of the week over Anton

I don't understand the need to replace the doddery one. Just do what should have been done years ago take him outside and put him out of our misery.

Why does the show need a male presenter or a male female combination. Tess & Claudia have shown that they are more than capable imo.

I like Anton and he would be a significant step up, but I don't see the need.

I want Brucie to stay for another year. he IS Strictly and no one else could ever equal him.

The other threads covered the candidates well. Anton is up there but I would hate for him to have to stop dancing... that would be a waste.

If karen insists on not competing - then I would like her to be involved somewhere !

Well that's an opinion you and he have in common.

Anton is a great guy but does not have the hosting experience to do this.

Barrowman wants it too...... God I could not listen to that yankie twang for an hour every week... drive me nuts.

They're my dream line up too...on the other side or anywhere apart from on Strictly.

At the end of the day too many people dont want John Barrowman to be healthy for the show. There is no-one who is perfect to fill Bruces shoes but I dont think that Vernon Kay would do a bad job-at the end of the day the host shouldnt dominate- he wont have any delusions about singing or dancing himself and would be family friendly. There could be worse.

I'd agree that compared to Barrowman Vernon Kay is quite "beige."

But it'd still be "Honson's choice."

There must be other candidates.

I read it in the papers today that the BBC are really keen to get Vernon and i absolutely cant bear it!............. Whats with all this husband and wife teams on tv?...... why?.. i don't want to see married couples introducing shows, with all the bickering and backbiting!... NO.... how about just having individual people for their talent!......

If he gets the job i don't think i will be able to watch the show anymore which is sad because i have loved and watched it since the first series but!, i just cannot abide this bloke... i thought he was p"""""g off to America!.... go go go.....

Can't hav vernon and tess because it's too much of a loose cannon given his sex texts. Scd can't run the risk that husband and wife might be warring or separated when they go live. I'm not saying they will based on matters to date but it could be a risk fir the future - we need someone squeaky clean.

I like GN he adapts to family viewing really well. Wouldn't mind Anton or Conley either.

No barrowman. Please.

NO. That is all.

Anyone but Brucie Woosie.
Trouble with Vernon though is that, just like Brucie Woosie does, he will think the show is all about him. Plus he will crack as many corny cliche gags as Brucie Woosie.

i think Shane Richie would be fabulous but he is busy with Eastenders so my second choice would be Michael Ball, certainly not the Vernon and Tess show

I hope he does not replace him because he is an awful presenter.
