The trouble with these type of shows where the Public have some input in deciding who stays and who go's it can become a popularity contest, if there is another Todd Carty signed up and he/she amuses the public by their antics on the ice better skaters could be voted off first!

I hate to quote myself, but! Of course, the contestants still need to endear/entertain they should not forget that.

Does anyone actually read these papers, I thought that the people who bought them just looked at the pictures and headlines - so they can validate their one dimensional views.

Sorry on a complete tangent have you read 'The Fourth Estate' by Jeffrey Archer (great book), essentially it portrays Rupert Murdoch as the key proponent of the cultural shift towards celebrity in his battle with Robert Maxwell. That old git was responsible for so much....what a legacy.

I avoid Jeffrey Archer's books like the plague....

I think the guy is a bit of a stuffy d*** too, but it doesn't stop him from being a very good writer.
