After seeing the fantastic Pamela Stephenson do so well on Strictly, does anyone else think Angela Rippon may actually be quite good on the ice?? I think she will have the grace and elegance needed but will she be able to cope with all the lifts and skating techniques? We will have to wait and see but she must have a lot of courage and passion to sign up for a show of this calibre, hats off to her i say!!

yeah I think she should be quite good, but I don't know whether it will be a year for the 'vintage' performers. Personally I think older contestants on DOI deserve more credit than those on SCD due to the very real prospect of pain and injury.

I think she will be a hell of a lot better than Aggie Mckenzie!

Angela doesn't usually appear on celeb shows so I would imagine that she is doing it because she wants to learn a new skill rather than for the publicity!

to be honest i cant imagine her skating skills to be amazing, but i think she will be average executing the skating moves with precision but with no real speed to them. i heard she was a trained dancer on ballerina of some sort so i take it she will be quite flexible then, so maybe she will lift well and gracefully which for the female contestants is the most important thing because for some reason they are never as good at the actual technical skating side as the males.
