How about New Labour policies? didn't see the tories leading the UK into an illegal war
Oh they would have had they been in power!

But this isn't a politics forum. And I don't support the Tories or Labour.

Again, I was talking about Tories now, in light of David Cameron's policies. Milk Snatcher was before my time, so I can't say I have any strong views towards her.
Right, because the Tories are going to **** up the country as if it wasn't already.

No praise for Labour here either.

You're the one who started a thread dissing chris because he appeared to you to be a tory voter

don't now try and pull the "it's not a politics" thread

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought Nick Clegg had lost in a vote or by-election or something!!

Sadly people still want to fight a class war. Reverse snobbery and I saw that when I was growing up on a council estate. People sneering at those because they talk posh or live in a nice house. I envied the rich but I never looked down on them. It just made me want to work harder to have that lifestyle.

As for Prescott the self-proclaimed warrior of the working classes, there has never been a bigger hypocrite. The guy who has a mansion in Humberside and other properties. As with all lefties once they get money they become champagne socialists. Makes me sick.

No, you went and slanted it even more towards politics - and when people raised good arguments against your position and thoroughly bashed it you backpedalled for all your life was worth. You did not raise one argument to sustain (or support) your position.

Just comes to prove how indefensible it was to start with.

And one has to ask - how exactly did Prescott acquire these properties? Through good, honest-to-God work at the coal face? In the factory? No, I know... tilling the land!!

No?

How then, exactly?

A tory gvmt would have gone to war too, they supported it at the time - only Lib dems wouldn't have. I dont see any huge difference in the morals of New Labour and the Tories in that area of policies.

As Lord Sugar is, I believe a Labour peer, I'm surprised that he didn't just say.

"Sod the money. You're ALL hired."

That way he wouldn't have had to fire anyone. His organisation may have become bloated and run up huge debts but ...

Oh hang on, or am I thinking of the Public Service under New Labour?

To be fair the Tories supported the decision to go to war based on the so-called intelligence detailed by the Labour government that Iraq had the capability to launch a WMD against the UK within 8 hours.

The difference with the Lib Dems is that opposed to go to war to appeal to anti-war voters.
