Probably rubbish ... Actually, I live in gangland and have "kray connections" if we're going to get tenuous.
If Stella was a gangster bird, I doubt she'd bother working a 80 hr week. |

Sounds like the same old pile of tripe we have come to expect from the bog-roll replacement that is the Daily Mail.

Another desperate attempt at sensationalist journalism.

Yes, how dare a hard-working ambitious woman from working-class roots win this show and go and work for Lord Sugar when she should be at home looking after the children.
It would have been so much more appropriate for Chris or, better still, that endearing privileged tax-avoider Baggs to have won instead. Typical leftie BBC politicial correctness, etc.

Her partner has tattoos...even on his neck.
Lots of gangsters I've seen have, in fact, are, quite heavily tattooed. This from the Daily Mail: "She is now engaged to Ray Dewar, a scaffolder with links to the criminal underworld in South-East London." Perhaps the Daily Mail article is a load of cobblers. Perhaps not. |

The mail claims she is engaged to a "a scaffolder with links to the criminal underworld in South-East London" ???
What on earth does that mean? Its a bit like saying Stella is related to raiding East Saxon pagans who terrorised the local peace loving Daiy Mail reading Britons in the fifth century........ |

It's Joanna's partner who has the tattoos. At least based on the Final Five programme. Not that it means anything anyway.

The fact is that is her background and no one should be surprised that a paper will bring it up
However she has really worked hard and dedicated herself to making a life away from it and has shown herself to be a brilliant, hardworking candidate so her roots are irrelevent I don't see what the big deal is that it was brought up in the media- no one cares about it but the fact that she grew up in such a tough area, means she deserves even more respect for getting out and achieving what she has |

So, the evidence seems to be:

From time to time, other people did bad things at her local pub
Her current partner was accused - but found not guilty - of a serious crime ... when she was (around) 14 years old
Not even a Swedish prosecutor would be able to make a case out of that

At least they didn't stope so low as to re-post the photo from this article.

I came across all that stuff weeks ago - I thought it showed her determination to make something of herself after a difficult youth, rather than justified criticism.
I've come across a fair number of criminals in my time and a lot of guys who got into trouble 'grew out of it' by their mid 20s - I was completely taken aback that one guy I knew had been an armed-robber who had held up a post office - you would never have thought it and I don't suppose that most people who knew him had any idea of that part of his past. Just because her bloke has 'form' it doesn't mean that he's still "a wrong 'un". |

don't really see the issue, she was in banking, surely that's worse than most gangs anyway.

Perhaps not. Seriously, some people lead such sheltered lives that even if you happen to know someone who happened to know someone who happened to know someone etc. etc. then you must be a gangster. You need to get out more mate. |
