Well apparently both her and Chris have been working in temporary jobs for Lord Sugar, and they filmed two endings!
Yeah, they did that back in series two. Sugar secretly hired both Michelle Dewberry and Ruth Badger for six months but we saw him hiring Michelle Dewberry in the final episode. I don't like that part of the show. I think the actual winner should be hired, not two winners for a trial period. I think that's a bit misleading but it's a reality show so it's not meant to be 'real'.

The reasoning has been explained.
Since neither candidate could get a 'proper' job for only six months and because if one candidate was seen to be working for someone else or the winner was spotted working for Sugar it would give the game away, they are both employed by AS.
This way it's quite impossible for anyone to spoil the final result whilst the series in in progress.

Wouldn't it spoil most of the series anyway, as the two finalists would be known? Or does AS have to employee all of them?!
Basically just to confirm, the final two are employed in temporary posts during the gap between filming the series and broadcast. The final task and boardroom is ultimately pointless - the winner is decided on the time they spend in the company, though of course, performance on the show will be taken into consideration.
Sugar doesn't tell anyone who the winner is until a few days before broadcast of the final - even though the show filmed a year ago, Stella presumably only found out she won very recently. During filming, they record two seperate sequences of the winner being announced, probably explaining the completely underwhelming victory moments.

I thought the final takes place after the 6 month period a week or so before broadcast, with the result announced in the boardroom the next day.The 6 month trial is obviously important, but if the candidates are neck and neck on performance after that, then surely the final task assessment must also come into play.
They record two endings at the time and the BBC is told a day or so before it goes out which one to show at the same time as the winner is told.
IIRC Kristina was told very shortly before the You're Hired show and most of the other candidates couldn't believe it.

No, filming is done all at once. If you notice, the contestants hairstyles and suits are always the same in series and the final, but always seem to have changed by the time they appear on Your Fired.

That's something I've always wondered too. Maybe that's why some of the winners are so short-lived in the company - they are effectively railroaded into taking the job, and then leave as soon as they can.

I wondered about that as well! While the Boardroom is private there is a pretty large crowd (of "Industry Experts" plus the regular staff at the venue) at the "launch event" that the final two do for their "product". I would have expected SOME spoliers to have appeared about who the final two were.

Yeah I'm guessing they all sign a contract before they start, much in the way all X Factor finalists do
They leave after a year because they dont get £100000 for the second year. They usually manage to start on their own or find better terms of employment.

The winner is chosen "on the basis of the final task, the boardroom, and their overall performance throughout the series", not on the time they spend in the company.
You can choose not to believe that, of course. I keep posting that link because I think we should be clear about the difference between our personal opinions and the stated position.

Both Yasmina and Kate worked 'in these temporary jobs' at Amscreen Healthcare. We know that from the details given out about an employment tribunal case. Yasmina then went to work in the same office. As for out of pocket, Yasmina still owned/owns part of a restaurant.
Both Stella and Chris both worked at Viglen. An industry source says for five months.
Lee and Claire may not have worked at Amscreen as Sugar had only just bought the company that would be revamped. A couple of months roughly before Lee was announced as the winner.
Sugar's real boardroom is fairly small. It's his working office. The BBC still make out that the tasks are weekly

Probably. Sugar did say to Kate and Yasmina after the end of the interviews 'you've given an undertaking'. Besides one if not both of the finalists pretty clearly always want it badly.
