2010 Album of the Year ...
I'm not a huge album buyer so my shortlist of contenders is quite short (i.e. all ones I have bought/had bought for me) ...
* "Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree" - Diana Vickers * "The Beat Is ..." - Alphabeat * "Ten" - Gabriella Cilmi * "Jason Derulo" - Jason Derulo * "The Remix" - Lady Gaga A special mention to album below who I shall be buying before the end of 2010 though ... * "Loud" - Rihanna |

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier
I challenge any band going today to still be taking risks and making groundbreaking music 30 years later, incredible. |

I usually buy loads of albums but this year I have bought only 3!
Skunk Anansie - Wonderlustre M.I.A. - /\/\ /\ Y /\ Goldfrapp - Head First They're all decent but not as great as their earlier work. I also liked Anthony and the Johnsons - Swanlights but haven't yet bought it. I listened to Massive Attack - Heligoland, Klaxons - Surfing The Void and MGMT - Congratulations but only liked a few songs on them. Not a great year for me. |

Flesh Tone by Kelis, The Sea by Corinne Bailey Rae, Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree by Diana Vickers and Total Life Forever by Foals are the 4 big contenders for me, Kelis probably just edges the win.
