Cat heaven

I bought a halogen heater from Tesco a couple of days ago, and had to take it back today because one of the elements failed after a day's use!

But I will have to get another one (probably from Amazon) because of this.

Awww, so cute. I would hurry up and get a replacement if I were you otherwise your poor cat will freeze I am in the doghouse at the moment as I went away the other weekend, put the cat in a cattery and decided to wash her radiator bed (it was a bit scuzzy and needed doing). Since then, she has refused to use it, even though she used to love it and I now often find her lying underneath the radiator instead (except for when I go to bed and she utilises my electric blanket!). I have tried putting her in it, picking her up and rubbing her on it, but to no avail.

Less likely now, fortunately. I have had to ration my central heating up till now because I was almost out of oil, but finally had a delivery today.

That's interesting because a similar thing happened to me. I gave the bedding inside his "igloo" a thorough cleaning to get rid of all the cat hair etc., after which he wouldn't use it for a long while. It must be something to do with the smell.

Glad you think my cat is cute - so do I He'll have been with me 2 years on 2nd Jan! He is a stray who turned up at my back door at 11:30 at night in sub-zero temperatures miauwing pitifully. I did all I could to find his owner but no luck, so he stayed.

Although he must be around 4 now, he is tiny and only weighs 2.2kg. Actually I plonked him on the bathroom scales earlier today and he's 2.4kg. He weighed in at that at the vets previously and he reckoned that was overweight! I wish I was only 200 grams overweight

PS: Love your cat too, AliU2maniac!

Aww .. so cute. I love the way cats always find the maximum possible comfortableness at all times.

One of mine likes lying on a hot water bottle covered in a towel. She seems to understand it's kind of a cat waterbed, because it's the only place she doesn't tread. One misplaced claw and it would all be over.

All the cats in the pics in this thread look stuffed to me. They look a bit stiff.

Is this a taxidermist thread?

To the people who have clean bedding but the cats hate it after, have you tried catnip spray on it? I use that when I put my cat stuff in the wash and he takes right back to it.
