the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by mark haddon..can't put this book down

It does seem odd that all the other books are available apart from that one, I did click on tell the publisher though. Also I'm quoting myself rather than starting a thread to say that I found out today that Annie Groves died on NYE, so shocked. Does anyone know how she died? (And if her book due for release on the 2nd Feb will be released? )

I've just finished Before I go to sleep by SJ Watson which I thoroughly enjoyed. The way the tension was built was excellent I thought and i didn't predict the twist, although i knew there would be one! I did think however that the ending wasn't as good as the rest of the book. All of a sudden it was all over with little explanation and I just felt it was a bit rushed.
I'm now reading Look at Me by Jennifer Egan - too early to tell whether i like it or not!

This is a great book

I will have to read it again though as I have no idea how it actually ended. I think I was so terrified reading it on my own in bed that I just haven't taken it in at all. I can't even remember if the chap died or not!

Oh! never realised that, Don't know.TBH Don't know much about her, did she also write as Penny Jordan ? or was that her real name, perhaps I dreamt that must be bed time ,,,

Just finished "The Boleyn Inheritance" by Philippa Gregory, a "new" author to me and the second book I've read by her. I enjoyed it.

Now reading "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett which was recently made into a film. Loving it

Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. About 2/3rd the way through it's very hit and miss. Although I can't help hearing it in her voice when I read it :P

I bought the Slap and started it on the tube home. Already I'm enjoying it more than Cold Comfort Farm (which I feel almost sacrilegeous saying but it just wasn't for me)

Oh that is an amazing book.

I picked it up at an airport literally minutes before I was due to board a plane to New York. I have been a big Tina fan for a while and didn't know she had a book, so I paid the £20 (extortionate) fee and started reading it before we took off. I think others around me thought I was mentally ill because some of the chapters had be doubled up laughing, with tears streaming down my cheeks. Her "Growing Up & Loving It" chapter, and the description of her honeymoon are genious. I re-read it a lot and it never dulls the humour!

To Miss With Love by Katherine Birbalsingh.

I'm about a third of the way through and not really enjoying it. Not because of the views on education but because I don't like the writing. It's as if it were leveled at the teenagers she used to teach (still teaches?) rather adults for whom there is a serious message.

I read this a while ago, I enjoyed it although it obviously isn't as good as The Book Thief which was amazing.

Was 99p as a Kindle bargain for a day.

Finished Contagious by Scott Sigler much faster than I anticipated because it was quite simply brilliant. The action and suspense were non-stop and I grew to really care about the characters. The book throws up some interesting "What if?" questions as well. I think fans of Justin Cronin's "The Passage" and Stephen King's stuff would enjoy this.

Going to read Cuckoo by Julia Crouch next.

Just started The House of the Mosque by Kader Abdolah. Bought for 99p on a special Kindle deal.

Two of my favourite books are The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, so I'm hoping this will be just as good as it's had positive reviews.
