I think I'll have to give this book a go. My Grandma bought the book with intention that I would read it after her but then didn't let me have it because it was horrible (or something like that). Is it particularly gruesome, scary or adult?

Just started Eye of the World by Robert Jordan because my local library have at long last bothered to get the first book of the series in stock. I have been reliably informed that "the wheel of time" is THE fantasy series of all time. Is that correct?

The Hacker Crackdown. quite good. and free.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hacker_Crackdown

the explanation of usa bell phone system shutdown in 1990 from software glitch - worst ever - is good!

not nearly as good as The Cukoo's egg. Which is riveting and funny but not free. Although you can download the original article for free.

Nearly finished "The Innocent" by David Baldacci

Its a quite a good read. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Originally thought it was a copy of "Leon" (film with Jean Reno). However it wasnt.

No, not at all, absolutely fantastic. I did find the language slightly anachronistic in that it had a very "modern" feel to it despite being set in the 40s but it didn't seem to be a problem.

Monster Love by Carol Topolski, unpleasant subject matter and not really living up to its four stars on Amazon but I've started so I'll finish,

I think you'll really enjoy Relic, Mary And if you do, I recommend Scott Sigler's books (similar genre and even better).

How was Midwinter Sacrifice? I was slightly put off by the Amazon reviews as it only got 3.4 stars there (although Amazon isn't always the best indicator).

I'm going to read Juggernaut by Adam Baker next.

Currently reading 'A Dark Redemption' by Stav Sherez. Got it as a daily deal on the Kindle.
Really enjoying it so far, a superior crime novel, definitely a cut above the norm, would deinitely recommend it.

Just about to finish The Sisters Brothers - only downside is the book is too short, loved it, beautiful writing, could have carried on reading the adventures of Eli and Charlie Sisters for days.

I've abandoned a couple of books in the last few weeks, having failed to get into them, but I've recently finished The ABC Murders - Agatha Christie and The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon (I thought this was excellent).
Have now started Fever Dream - Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child.

I am re-reading Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. This story terrified me the first time I read it so why am I reading it again? I was so scared when I finished it that I cannot remember how it ended
