I liked the third book best.

I've only just started reading the third one, but I'm enjoying it so far. I found the second one very slow to take off, far more than the first. This one has been good from the beginning so far.

Finished Harold Larwood - biography of the controversial Bodyline tour fast bowler by Duncan Hamilton. I'm not a great cricket fan but this is an excellent study of character and of the class conflicts of the 30s. Superb.

I finished Kathy Reichs "Death du Jour" - it was another good read from her. I have to fight my natural instinct to skip the grisly bits as the grisly bits are quite often important as you would expect from books about a forensic anthropologist!
I've now moved on to Robin Hobb's "Royal Assassin" - the 2nd in the Farseer Trilogy. It's off to a great start! I'm trying to pace myself this time though as I read far too quickly and after this I'm not sure when I'll be able to buy another book! |

Room by Emma Donoghue. I've only just started and am finding the narrative from a 5 year old a bit off putting but I'll stay with it, I've read some good reviews.

I'm reading full dark, no stars by Stephen King. I'm on the second story just now, I enjoyed the first story but don't think I'd read it again.

Sophie Kinsella - Twenties Girl
So far, it's OK, a nice easy read but I'm beginning to find the formule of these style of books a little tiring. The main character of the "loveable", ditzy girl who gets her herself into hilarious (which in reality are highly improbable) situations is the same as in every other Kinsella book. |

I like the concept and it's beautifully written so far. |
