Finished Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights". Found the plot implausible but well written with good well drawn characters .. Brilliant if gothic is your thing.
Just finished 'Nine Dragons' by Michael Connelly (the usual hard-boiled Harry Bosch fare, but with a more personal angle).
Something a bit different next: I'm about to start 'Stiff - the curious lives of human cadavers' by Mary Roach. It's about all the possible things that can happen to a human body after death; non-fiction but written in a light-hearted style. My dad recommended it and he's usually spot-on.
Just finished "The Innocent" by Harlan Coben, I really enjoyed it, and picked up another of his books "The Woods" in a charity shop this morning. I had intended to start "The Rosary Girls" By Richard Montanari next, but a pal has given me "The Other Half Lives" by Sophie Hannah so I've just started on that.
Just finished The Whisperer by Donato Carrisi - absolutely brilliant book, if you like Stieg Larsson and Jo Nesbo I'd highly recommend this - the ending is just
Started My Last Duchess by Daisy Goodwin, not sure if I like it yet - hasn't hooked me completely.
"The Word for World is Forest" by Ursula K. Le Guin. One of several stories (Pocahontas, Soldier Blue) allegedly poached by James Cameron to make Avatar.
Just finished Ghost Light by Joseph O'Connor, his imagined account of the life of Synge's mistress. Wonderful stuff. He's a beautiful writer. If you liked Star of the Sea you'll love this one.

Just read I am Four, which was entertaining, The witch light by Susan Fletcher and the narrative in this book was amazing. Her descriptions of Scotland makes me want to live there and never leave.
