I've just finished Robin Hobb's "Royal Assassin", the second in the Farseer Trilogy. It is an excellent read! I'm really looking forward to reading the third in due course!............
I'm also a big fan of the two Robert Newcomb trilogies. Anyway - have just finished reading Imajica - Clive Barker. Am now reading Sister by Rosamund Lupton and have got about 8 Christmas present books waiting. I LOVE reading

Not my usual style of book but have just finished reading Rosamund Pilcher's Winter Solstice and really did love it.Without giving too much away I thought that the book was a brilliant look at the idea of being able to love after you've lost someone you love. For someone who doesn't read a lot of this kind of thing I really found myself getting emotionally attached to the characters and their relationships.Really great book and I have few or no reservations about it.

I'm reading The Old Curiosity Shop for the first time. I'd probably be enjoying it more if I didn't know what happens to one of the characters in the end, thanks to pop cultural osmosis. Still, it's not bad so far and Nell isn't as sickeningly saccharine as I'd feared.

He really is ace, isn't he? I can't wait for the release of The Leopard later this month.
I'm reading Engleby by Sebastian Faulks at the moment. It's much better than the previous two Faulks I read. Engleby is good .. I'd also highly recommend A Week in December |

I've just finished Robert Goddard's "Dying to Tell". It was a good read after the last one of his I read which I found disappointing.

I'm reading C J Sansom's Heartstone. I really enjoy the Tudor setting of this series of his books and I'm getting quite fond of his protagonist, Matthew Shardlake. I find I learn a lot about the period from his books.
I was lucky to get it in paperback at the airport, I think it's only out in hardback in the shops. |
