Finished "Midnight Fugue" - failed to grip at all, very disappointing.

About 150 pages into Bareback by Kit Whitfield. It's ok but not great. Readable is as generous as I'm prepared to be.

Just read a Peter Robinson and a Jeffrey Deaver but they just don't do it for me. Currently reading the new John Lawton, A Lilly of the Field, which is superior in every way and unputdownable. Also mulling through Bill Bryson, Walter Moseley and Alistair Campbell. Good fare.

Is this book out in paperback ?

I love Roy Grace.

Just finished Remembering Sarah by Chris Mooney. It's about a man's inability to accept and cope with his daughter's abduction 5 years previously. Poignant, thought provoking and well written.

The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss.

Not my usual type of book as it's a fantasy but it's excellent and really hard to put down.
