'A Dark Matter' by Peter Straub

It's been a long hard slog, but I'm almost done. Stephen King lied to me: "Terrifying . . . Impossible to put down" - My ass!

One of my favorites. I actually prefered it to The Drouned World.

Just been away for a week so managed to read:

Before I Go To Sleep - S J Watson
Nemesis - Jo Nesbo
Heartsone - C J Sansom

Enjoyed them all (although I do have a soft spot for Mattthew Shardlake)

First time I've travelled any distance with my Kindle and must say I was really impressed - saves lugging all those books in the suitcase!

Just finished Screwtop Thompson by Magnus Mills.

Short fictions, but never slight, with his usual dark, deadpan wit. Why isn't this man a national treasure?

Just started The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen, after years of giving it the swerve for some reason. It'll be interesting to see what all the fuss was about at least.

Yep, big Ballard fan. I find his earlier books a bit more difficult though. I prefer the autobiographical novels (EOTS and TKOW) plus the last four.

I'm reading 'IT' again by Stephen King - the paperback is so old and well read the pages keep falling out and I have to keep sticking them back in.

Have just read Apartment 16 by Adam Nevill which was a very odd book.

I'm reading "The Mist" by Stephen King. It's only the second story I've read by King and I must admit I really don't like his style, but I appear to the only one.
