Butter only and unsalted. Usually Tescos but ALDIs is OK. Unsalted seems so much creamier that I really don't like salted at all.

I'm another for Lurpak unsalted. My late Scottish grandmother only ever used unsalted butter and being much harder to find in England years ago, it was one of the things I used to look forward to most when going up for a visit.

My favourite butter is anchor
My favourite spread used to be flora light until I discovered I can't believe it's not butter light.

Countrylife is my favourite, but I can never justify spending that much on a tub of butter/marg. I usually go for whatever is on special offer.

"fresh" butter my gran called it, and being considered best, it was therefore always fresh butter out on the table for sundays when we came round.

I will swap between fresh ( often President) and salted butter when I fancy a change of taste, or get bored with too much of one. Never buy a spread, or margarine, (unless doing a one-stage sponge, will buy a cooking-marge for that)

Used to be Anchor Lighter Spreadable, but I now buy Yeo Valley Organic Lighter Spreadable (which is only available from Sainsburys currently).
