You get free CD's in the newspaper doesn't mean I wouldn't bin them?
Yeah, but you've also purchased the newspaper which your also gonna bin after you've used it once.
Whereas I've got a Free app that gives me 12 Free gifts which I say, thanks iTunes
Yes some of them may not be my cup of tea, but then we could of got bugger all like most other service providers.

I purchased an Iphone or Ipod too though.

And technically you "purchase" the app even though it's £0.00. Still requires an Itunes account presumably which you use.

You don't need the App to participate in the offer.

If you just have iTunes on your computer, you can make an iTunes Store account without spending a penny. All twelve downloads will be available for free that way.

Obviously Apps require an iPhone/iPod touch or iPad to use, but everything else can be used without giving Apple a penny.

Indeed but there's little benefit in that.

For most who pay lots of money on Itunes this is a poor deal.

This is the first time i've had an iPhone to take advantage of this offer. Remember last year's one - i think the final offer was a free, full length movie.

Still, i'm always up for a freebie so bring 'em on.

A free game sounds nice. Be interesting to see which free movie we get down the line.

It tells you if you run the 12-days app after midnight, even if the download isn't ready yet

I can totally get that mindset because there's not much i won't do for a freebie .. but .. i can't really see the point of downloading a song you may well not like purely because it's free?

It would be a waste of time and bandwith just to download it if you plan to delete it ..

Just installing the game but it's really labouring .. it's either a huge download or the app store is grinding a bit with too many people downloading it as well.

Thing is there's so many good free apps and games outside this deal. Why take any old game? (I have that many apps I now have to delete ones anyway).

I'm always willing to try games and apps that are free. Music is a different kettle of fish. Even though I like literally everything, i'm not going to download a song i've already heard and don't like just because it's free.

And today it's a book. "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel. Think it's junior fiction, very mediocre by the looks of it. But apparently 7 million copies sold... (I guess I'll try a couple of chapters at least )
