How regularly do you have a certain meal?

Let's say tonight you had a pizza, how long would you wait until you had another one? My sister doesn't have the same evening meal twice in about 3 weeks, yet she has the same breakfast and lunch everyday

I kind of have a routine, but it's not every week.

Thursdays = Pork or Gammon
Friday = Steak
Sunday = Stirfry or curry

I often do variations in the meals so it's not the same everytime. Don't know why or how I got those nights for those foods.

Friday is steak night becuase it was the start of the weekend. Can have a bottle of wine and theres usually good tv to watch while cooking/eating the meal.

Sunday was a bit of a restbite from spuds. So have a healthyish stirfry or curry with noddles/rice for the start of the week.

I generally make my own food, even takeaway classics such as pizza.
It depends on the ingredients in. If I make enough dough or have enough ingredients for a couple of pizzas I might have them over running nights.

That also goes for stews/curries/mince dishes. You make a pan load and unless you freeze it you have to eat it over the next couple of meals or days.

Wednesdays would usually be curry night, but I've given that up now, as I'm eating healthily.

The only thing I eat weekly is a roast dinner on a Sunday. And I only do that because my boy loves them. Other than that, I try not to have the same thing in any three-four week period, except for breakfast. I try not to think about food at breakfast time.

I don't know why this is, I just prefer the variety I guess. There's lots of food out there.

I can't say I have particular days for eating particular things, but I have a range of dishes that I know how to cook and which I cook fairly often.

To go back to your example, if I had a pizza today I might not have one again for a month or two or I might have another one tomorrow. Depends how I feel.

TYPICAL WEEK
-----------------------------------------

Monday: Cheap crappy microwave curry
Tuesday: Cheap crappy microwave something else
Wednesday: Cheap crappy microwave curry
Thursday: Takeaway of some sort
Friday: "I'm too tired to cook, make something yourself,"
Saturday: Cheap crappy microwave curry.
Sunday: Roast.

My mother is so outgoing with night time meals, so outgoing that I often skip it.

EDIT-

EVIDENCE: We just had a curry.

I make a weekly plan every weekend before grocery shopping. But this plan could be very different from one week to the next. I like to vary things.

Depends on the time of year and what we have on Sunday. We have never had the same Sunday Lunch twice in a row/month for years.....I only know 'cos I keep a food diary.

If we had a roast then leftovers monday and tuesday if no leftover sthen we go meat free during the week.

I have terrible food fads were I will eat the same meal a couple of times a week/month and then not eat it for ages.

I eat a main meal at work.

I buy sausages,lardons,pease pudding,tomatoes,courgettes,potatoes,mushrooms,chicken,leeks,eggs,cheese,carrots and what ever else I need for the week.

I use online recipes i look up the night before so that the meals are different each week.

This week will be chicken pieces,roast gammon,alpine eggs with spinach,kitcheri and snert.

we have chicken most days as it's cheap and versatile.

We have meat of some description with everymeal. Big carnivores in this household.

I do try and vary the sunday roasts everyweek, I wouldn't have lamb 2 weeks on the trot and rarely have chicken on a sunday as we have it throughout the week, unless I have guests for sunday dinner, ('cos it's cheap).
We mainly have takeaway on a saturday night and this almost always is Chinese, if I'm flush that week we will have thai instead.

we do eat pretty much the same each week. This being, shepherds pie, curry, chilli with rice, bolognese, I run out of ideas or time as I'd love to do a recipe from my vast collection of cookbooks one night each week but I work 3 or 4 evenings a week and can't be arsed

Apparently so, she only goes shopping about once a fortnight and my (large) brother tends to eat (a lot) when we all go to bed so there's not much food in the house.

MICROWAVE MEAL IS TOO MUCH!

How dare you suggest such a thing. It's not like she has the whole day off until 3 and works until 6 every day! It's not like she could prepare something for when we get back from school!

Apart from the Sunday roast, I don't have any particular meal any particular day. There's meals I have a lot, but I never have them on any specific day. The most common meal at the moment is sausage casserole made the way mum used to make it, with beans and tinned tomatoes.

Curries can be healthy! And surely the odd one won't hurt.

I can't have a pasta dish at weekends - only Mon-Thurs. Yes, this is weird.

I eat pretty much the same thing most days, kind of on rotate. It's ALWAYS some kind of fish with either salad, veg or brown rice. I get kind of bored of it to be honest but I'm too picky to have anything else. I can't think of any other meal that I like

I have Christmas dinner once a year!

Well maybe twice as I tend to have it again on boxing day with all the leftovers!
