My little furball knows exactly how to annoy the neighbours by helping himself to chicken off their BBQ. If that is not bad enough he will then dig up their garden while they are watching for toilet time.

For years I didn't realise that my cat was dipping his entire paw in my drinks (cool tea, orange quash, lemonade, that sort of thing). I now put a cover over drinks if I leave them unattended. Of course, sometimes I forget.

The other day I offered my cat a tiny peek of whipped cream off the top of a freshly opened dessert. He seemed to enjoy it. And I enjoyed the dessert too! So much so that I stuck a finger in the pot and had a rummage round for remnants at the end.

It was only after I'd finished that it dawned on me that the same finger had been licked clean by my cat and me.....

Lol!

I was brushing my teeth Christmas Eve and again heard the cat at the Christmas tree and pressies under it. It's quite hard to shout at someone with your mouth full of toothpaste and brush! Anyway, I come in to the front room to find not only had she torn open a present, but it was one of hers. There she sat playing with her teaser toy still attached to the carboard! (I was shocked and secretly in awe. )

Lol my oldest cat loves human food. On boxing day I was eating the left over turkey whilst watching a film. I didn't notice he was right next to me until out the corner of my eye I saw him drag a big bit of turkey right off my plate

Help yourself or what

Oh, the shame I remember it well! My cat would wait until I was having a nice chat with neighbours. He would then dig a hole and have a poo right in front of us - in their garden!! So embarrassing. I would pick it up while apologising profusely, but luckily they seemed to find his utter cheek very amusing This happened more than two or three times, to the point where if I was going to chat to the neighbours I'd make sure he was shut in first

Our first cat, who was the best hunter I've ever seen, once arrived home dragging a cooked joint of meat that was obviously not long out of the oven! We didn't know whose it was, and fortunately they hadn't seen the cat, so we just kept quiet for a bit. He also had a whole pound of mince off the counter once when we were out, he didn't eat for about 4 days afterwards.

I have a friend who used to own two alsations.

One day, while him and his wife were out, the two dogs managed to get into the fridge, and ate a 14 pounds of mince.

One of them also ate all the lard out of the chip pan.

Not a cat story, but, our old border collie used to steal carrots from the veggie sack in the utility room. Current collie will drink tea if the cup is on the floor and your dish of toffee sponge pudding and cream, as my sister found out after leaving that on the floor (don't ask why she put it there).

This thread has had me laughing out loud!

Kelvo, your Oscar is beautiful BTW

Mojo (cat) is partial to....well, anything thats human food as opposed to cat food. He adores prawns, absolutely adores them. Once, my husband was defrosting some on a plate which he had put on the kitchen windowsill, with a very heavy wood-slatted venetian blind lowered in front of them. Happy in the knowledge that his prawns were safe, he was sitting playing on the laptop when one of our daughters heard a very loud purring coming from the kitchen, and there sat Mojo with his paw stuck around the side of the blind. My husband leapt up like a muppet yelling "Me prawns!!!" and Mojo was sitting grinning at him, one paw delicately extended, with a prawn neatly skewered on his claws. The little terror had sat and helped himself to almost the entire plate!

So husband did not get to enjoy his prawns, but Mojo did! The moral of this story - cats are way more inventive and resourceful than we give them credit for!

My labrador was also a total pig for eating anything he shouldn't, as several vets visits would testify!

My Toby, (cat), would have your arm off for a bean sprout! Mind you, he also likes curry, rice, chicken in any form, prawns, chips, pasta, sushi, cake, onion, baked beans, eggs, and toast.

My cats work as a team I'm sure!
The other day my fella was being distracted by one cat being stupid, and turned round to find our other cat licking his mince pie!
She has a sweet tooth that one!

I'm looking after my daughters 6 month old kitten whilst she is away. This bloody cat eats everything in sight, not just food products. So far in the fortnight he's been here he's eaten my plants, washing up sponges, tried chewing up my chopping boards and any leads from appliances. After having him a few days I was up at a stupid hour of the morning having to blu tack everything in the kitchen down as nothing is safe with him about. You could strip a room bare and this cat would still find something to chew/eat. Tonight he is going into the porch with his bed, litter and a bowl of water. I've had enough of the little git. I have my own cat and he even looks stunned at some of the things this kitten gets up to. Give me a toddler any day.

I had three cats all pawing at my burger and chips on my lap, they MADE me move, which MADE me tip the whole lot on the floor, and you should've seen the snatch and grab between them!
I will never forget that, sneaky beggers

Hope it's not a Maine Coon, the males NEVER grow out of being eejits. Ours will chew up every polythene bag he comes across. He also likes tipping up bins, eating plants, leaping from the dresser onto the kitchen table, skidding and smashing anything on the table onto the floor, chewing cardboard, tipping up his water bowl to see how it works, eating any scraps of string, wool, ribbon etc. that are left lying around, and chewing up rubber bands. He will also knock anything that's onto the dresser straight onto the floor, as part of his studies on gravity. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to be into clawing the walls, as they've got cork tiles on.

We left half a tub of cat treats on the side with the lid firmly on....only to come home from work to find the tub on the floor, completely empty and both kitties licking their lips, cheeky buggers!!! They're so greedy, especially Sookie and she's a right pain in the bum when we're eating tea - she'll come in and have a sniff round and look at what we're eating, then she'll jump on up or jump on our shoulders - anything to get a lick of whats on our plate! We caught her with her paw in a bowl of grated cheese once...she loves cheese!! They're also very fond of ham and smoked salmon. Basically, everytime we open the fridge they come running!!

A few years ago i had a dog. We also had budgies she didnt bother them at all . We used to give them a piece of raw carrot wedged it in the bars. The dog used to wait until the budgies had finished and pick the piece that dropped on the outside.

My cat's a bugger for begging, but she will never ever steal.

I left some cooked cod on a plate in the living room as an experiment, with her alone sitting there for a few minutes. Bless her, when I got back in there, she hadn't moved, and the fish was totally untouched. I couldn't NOT give her a massive chunk of it because of that

However, years ago, our family dog used to nick pots of butter and food off plates, and then leaves the remnants in the cat's basket! It was so funny
