Speaking of sausages...
A couple of months ago I was up at my best friends house. Her little boy would have been 21/22 months old at the time. She cooked the three of us sausage, chips and beans and obviously cut the boys up into tiny pieces.
Me and her had finished ours and were talking in the kitchen when he comes in with his half finished dinner and puts it on a little table right in front of me. Closely following him was the dog knowing he would be getting all the left overs.
I bent over picked up a piece of sausage and went back to the living room, next thing I know the boy is toddling behind me, massive grin on his face, with a piece of sausage to give to me! I took it said "thanks" and he ran to the kitchen and got a second piece, then a third. All the time the dog is watching, not looking very impressed.
On the fourth run the dog just thought "screw this" and leapt up, snatched the sausage out of the boys hand and ran into the corner to eat it.
It took him a second to realise what happened but he looked at his empty hand, looked at me, and realising he had nothing to give me, promptly burst into tears.
I picked him up for a cuddle while wetting myself laughing.
