Had a good chuckle tonight - Blanche's banter in the café with Frankie, Kevin calling Sally a "daft bint" (and getting away with it!), Fiz saying she couldn't fancy a ginger...

How funny. I love Blanche and her new mate Mrs Brinsley...and her zimmerframe!

Funny scene in the factory with the girls and Jamie Baldwin.

Jamie Baldwin is much better than I expected.

Loads of acknowledgments of the "Real World", like Denise Robertson, Claire Rayner and Cilla Black from Frankie, Ronni Ancona from Sarah, the Iraq War from Audrey and simply "Woolworths" from Blanche.

Nice mention of Stan Ogden's "serving hatch" by Kevin.

All in all a brilliant episode!

Let's not forget Maya and that crazy whale sounds CD! I've been saying all along Maya is very predictable, but I honestly never saw that one coming!

It was brilliant, dead funny all the way through but still with a bit of drama. Not sure I'm gonna like this Jamie person though..

Frankie is a Corrie classic in the making. Blanche already is...

I'm still laughing at Kevin's serving hatch comment - and Blanche and her new sidekick were wonderful, especially the 'sorry, I couldn't help overhearing you as you have a voice like a foghorn' comment. It was a lovely touch as well with the factory girls having their 'where the most unusual place you've done it' conversation.

My only complaint would be that sometimes the dialogue for Danny and Frankie sounds a bit like its straight out of the 'How to write Cockney' handbook. It's not that often, but now and again certain words and phrases are used that just don't sit right - but a very minor complaint about what was a lovely episode.

This episode was written by Jonathan Harvey - writer of Gimme Gimme Gimme a brilliant comedy.

Fridays episode is also written by him so expect a similar style episode

Kevins comment to sally cracked me up about Dev "I couldnt care less if dev came in here and broke wind through the serving hatch", and sallys reply of "I would".

Lol wished i had watched it last night. Still could with more fred though as he can provide a staple, i say a stape diet of laughs.

Nice to see the serious issues along side some comedy. Corrie seems to have a breath of fresh air about it which is noticable with the characters as well.

Possibly because Frankie actually comes from Hull & has to take cues from Danny to get her southern accent 'right'.
