Definitely series 4!

My favourite was Alex Wotherspoon...not just because he was so delicious, but I loved his game-playing! The series was full of characters..Claire, Lee, Michael Sophocles, the two bitchy Jennifers, Lucinda and, best of all - Raef!
The final four of this series (Lee, Alex, Claire, Helene) were simply brilliant - I honestly didn't mind anyone winning.

Series 4 for me, especially for the Kosher Chicken fiasco episode LS was at his best in the Boardroom in that episode.
followed by seres 1, & 2, i dislike series 3 the most.

Last series was great, and, obviously the series with KATIE HOPKINS in it!

For me, Series 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 9 are the best.

Series 5 and 6 are a bit more bland than the first four IMO, and Series 8 was really quite dull!

Series 10 will probably come at the top of the middle band. Too many caniddates for it to be 'memorable' as such. It's a shame because there have been some great moments!

My favourites have been Series 1, 5, 7, 8 and the first two series of Young Apprentice. I have some degree of liking for every series, but I have only watched most of Series 4 once, and there is a reason for that.

Interesting to see this post as I've recently watched series 1 and 2 on youtube.

Series 10 is currently somewhere near the bottom, depends what it delivers for the rest of the series. Based on the first half of the series it would probably be bottom, but including the last couple of episodes might help raise it over series 8 and 6.

1. Series Five - this was when The Apprentice was in its golden age. This was the best series of the show by far, and five years on, I can still remember all the escapades (Pantsman, anyone?)
2. Series Seven - this series broke a lot of records. Largest win, most successful candidate... along with some of the other best candidates to ever be on the show
3. Series Four - whilst the tasks in this one seemed slightly poor (doing laundry, anyone?) the candidates were what made this series. Posh Lucinda, chatty Claire...
4. Series Three - yes, the series that brought us Katie Hopkins, that person who bitches about everyone and everything on twitter. This was a great series, and had a good mix of candidates, some of whom stand in the Apprentice Hall of Fame.
5. Series Ten (so far!) - it's not over yet, but it's proving to be one of the most interesting series so far. Some actual business people here.
6. Series Nine - I quite liked this series, though some of the better candidates seemed to go before the final, and the winner wasn't a good overall candidate (was under the radar a lot)
7. Series One - I enjoyed this series at the time, but looking back on it, it doesn't stand out.
8. Series Two - wasn't the worst series ever just don't remember much from it (except Nargis' truly awful pitch)
9. Series Eight - some of the worst candidates on the program IMO, though this made some humerous television.
10. Series Six - was far too bland in comparison to the first five.

BIB: This is interesting - you're certainly not alone in your dislike of Series 8, as it seems to be collectively one of the forums least favourite series (I personally don't agree as I really liked it, but each to their own.) However, you seem to dislike it for an entirely different reason to most others. I always felt that people disliked it because the candidates were too capable and not entertaining enough - even Stephen, arguably the weakest candidate, survived a long way and wasn't in the boardroom until Week 9. I think that it is one of the best for strong candidates, as a matter of fact - admittedly doesn't stand up to Series 5 on that front.

Series 7 definately!

Series 7 is my favourite of the lot. It's just a shame that such a good series ended with such an awful, awful winner.

This is actually really tough for me, as I have genuinely liked every series so far. If I had to place them, however, I'd say:

1. Series 7 - I've got such a soft spot for this series. Not only did it feel fresh having a new concept, every contestant added something to the show for me and the tasks were all great.
2. Series 3 - This was when the show felt at its most powerful, if that makes sense. It became quite pantomime in places, with the villainous Katie and explosive Tre, but in a good way. Lots of iconic moments.
3. Series 2 - Another great series, with my favourite boardroom ever where Alexa was fired.
4. Series 9 - Very strong list of candidates this year with a lot of big characters - Jason, Neil, Luisa, Alex etc. Great mix of conflict and humour.
5. Series 5 - In business terms, this was probably the strongest year of all. Some truly iconic moments such as pants man.
6. Series 6 - Dominated by Baggsy somewhat, yet an entertaining series. My personal funniest moment of all time on The Apprentice came from this series - Melissa's firing and subsequent tirade in the taxi home
7. Series 1 - Where it all began. Seems so different watching it back. I can still never make my mind up whether I loved or hated Saira. And Miriam should not have been fired when she was, that has always annoyed me. Good series though, and gets credit for kicking things off.
8. Series 8 - I feel this series gets a bit of an unfair rap on here sometimes. Okay, so it's not my favourite, but it had enough good moments for it to be highly watch able.
9. Series 4 - Entertaining, yes. Hilarious in places, definitely. Best firing ever for Jenny C, Hell Yeah However, I found too many of the contestants unpleasant this year for me to like it as much as the others.

As for the current series - at the moment it ranks above Series 6. I'm actually enjoying it more and more, and I've preferred it since there's been less candidates. I'll rank it properly when it's over.

Series 3 was superb thanks to Tre and Katie. Marrakesh was the best episode ever, but too many nasty characters ruined series 4.

It's interesting that people think that Series 3 had some really memorable characters. I don't think it did. I think that there were two people (Tre and Katie) who were very memorable, but aside from them I don't think there was anyone in that series who was hard-hitting at all. I would normally ask people how many people they can remember from that series besides those two - that question doesn't really work here because on this forum people remember a lot of past candidates that the masses wouldn't, but I would imagine that a random Apprentice fan would not remember anyone besides Tre and Katie. I suppose in terms of quality of memorable candidates it stands out, but in terms of quantity it really doesn't.

It's not really that the candidates weren't very good, it's just some of the better ones (like Duane) left before it got to the later stages, leaving worse candidates (like Stephen, Adam and even arguably Ricky, who had never won as a project manager) to progress. The YF audience agreed with only three of Lord Sugar's firings, compared to eight from series nine.

Ricky won as Project Manager, in Week 11. He had a 1-2 record. And I think he was pretty good on his other PM jobs as well. In the first one I think that team should have won by all rights, as their product was generally so much better than the other team's, and the other time the sub-team messed something up and Ricky only found out after it was too late to change it.

Yeah I know he won once, I meant by this point (Week nine) in the competition, but forgot to mention it. :/
He wasn't necessarily a bad candidate, I just didn't think he was particularly strong.

I was happy with Ricky, but I do also think that it was absolutely criminal that Nick didn't win that, as he had an amazing business plan and his task performance was also fantastic.
