Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 2010 - Why Elephants Can't Dance

Two of the choreographers from Strictly Come Dancing were on Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 2010 on BBC4 tonight. Should be available on iPlayer. They did a short dance then at the end this year's lecturer attempted to dance whilst wearing trousers filled with sand to make him heavier, for reason a certain retired MP came to mind. :=)

Who were the choreographers?

Sorry did not get the names, they just said they were choreographers from Strictly Come Dancing. They did a brief dance and then came back on later when Dr Mark Modowink attempted to dance whilst very heavy in the padded trousers.

Think from Tweets from Jacqui that the choreographers mentioned above are Chris Marques and Jacqui Spencer (the salsa people).

Yes, you're right. I caught this and it was Chris and Jacqui. Nice to see them getting to strut their stuff.
Don't think they have been on the main Strictly show for a while which is a shame (apart from behind the scenes of course.)

They choreographed quite a few of the group pro dances this year I think, including the pretty naff "boxing" prancing that was on before the final started..
