Mine do, I think it depends on the cat and the dog of course. Millie, our border collie is 9 years old and seems to have been very taken with the new kitten Smudge, and we often find them sleeping together or in some cases Smudge will be asleep on top of Millie. The other cats occasionally curl up next to Millie as well.
When we had 5 cats they used to all sleep together in a heap and it wasn't unheard of to find our old Benny dog asleep on top of the pile or indeed under the pile
Oh yes! There are loads of pics on Lurcher Link of members' hounds cuddled up with cats. In fact they dedicated a whole thread to it, snuggled together in baskets, couches and beds. My lurcher and cat never cuddled up but would crash out on the couch (or the bed if the sneaky hound could get away with it) beside each other.
Ours did. They cuddled up together on the sofa, it was very cute! Dog's gone to the great kennel in the sky now, but occasionally a couple of cats will sleep together.
Mine don't, my cat hates dogs! But my mum's cats and dog all curl up together. When I was a child our family dog and cat always used to sleep together - http://i52.tinypic.com/28s8ch.jpg

We used to look after a westie. We only had 4 cats at the time and they where inseprable. The trouble is that when 2 of them see a westie there are quiet a few where we live think its the same dog. They will just sit there and want to sniff. They are not intimidated by any dog and maisey hates them that's why we havent got one.
Mine do all the time. They're very affectionate to eachother - our 15 year old, 3 legged cat and blind 10 year old bull terrier are eachother's bessie mates.
When I was a child we had a very very gentle, sweet natured dog called Badger, and a new kitten called Tiggy. Badger had quite dribbly lips, and Tiggy used to suckle on them. Badger just sat there and let him suck away, it was both quite disgusting and quite sweet. They were always close after that, and would cuddle up together in front of the fire, or in the sunshine. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginger_elanor/5312757474/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ginger_elanor/5312757174/

Ours did when we had 5 cats and a dog.
Many are the times when I'd look at my dog's bed to see a tangle of Labrador and Tabby.
And after the Lab, and a few of the cats had passed on, when our current dog was young, he used to sleep with the couple of older cats we had left.
I think he misses them, because since they also passed on he has started kipping in our room.
My cat and dog did. I have a photo somewhere of them sharing a bed. Something else my cat would do would be to clean the inside of my dog's ears. My dog loved it!
