Picture Quality?
I downloaded a video clip and i wanna put it as a VCD to play on a DVD player but i dont know what the picture quality will be like. On my pc monitor (13") its look good but will it look the same on my T.V (28") or will i lose quality?

VCD'S are usually like slightly 'blocky' looking VHS videos. So don't expect miracles!
It'll probably look a fair bit worse on a 28" but of course you'll only know by doing it.... |

The reason i asked was because i have a DVD player but it dont play VCD's. I was going to buy a new 1 that plays VCD's if i knew the quality would be the same.
The vids/clips i want to burn look ok on my PC there a bit blocky if am close to the screen but if i sit away from it there not 2 bad. |

There's always SVCD. Of course this is only useful if the source file is of sufficient quality.

I'd be more inclined to buy a DVD burner for your PC (I'm assuming you've got a CDRW burner) and copy to DVD's that should play on your existing DVD player.... this might be more flexible in the longer term......
The VCD clip won't look any better on DVD but at least you'd be kitted out to edit / burn your own DVD's |
