Loved Leanne's line on Friday ''Melvyn Bragg and his chain smoking wife''

I have liked Jane for most of her time on Corrie. I found her quite dishy at firat but even now she is remarkably elegant. Jane acts so well that I can sometimes tell what she's thinking from her body language. A notable example was when Carla was in tears over Peter a bit too much for comfort and Leanne's look gave away her suspicions.

I think the reason for Leanne's on-off affair with Nick is that, although she has taken to being step-mum to Simon, she keeps wondering how she would have felt had she and Nick stayed together and started a family. In other words I think she is slightly haunted by her curiosity even though she genuinely loves Peter.

Leanne's punters paid money to see all of her in previous years so waht's new this year? A return to whoring?

Apparently Peter discovers Leannes affair and reveals all on the renewing vows thing.

Same here, but thats what I love about Leanne, she always manages to do something bad but you still love her. In my opinion she is a very well written character with a good background that you can continue to build upon. I hope her and Janice have a touching scene before she leaves. She will be the only origional Battersby left after she leaves.

Bumping this up in honour of Jane Danson's wonderful performance tonight. She is the best actress on the street, and further proof was given in spades this evening. Bravo.

Loved how she showed us a glimpse of the old fiery girl she used to be when she entered the show by giving Nick a good punch. Or several.

I love her and Chris/Alex's on screen relationship, I want to see more of them! I don't want them to split up when the affair comes out

I agree with everyone elses sentiments - Jane is brilliant, definitely the best that Corrie have got. So underrated.

Leanne's reactions to Carla, Nick, Peter and Simon demonstrated what a versatile character Leanne is, and how gifted Jane is at being able to act out so many contrasting emotions.

I dont often watch coronation street these days but i always liked leanne,
i think shes really pretty actually, but maybe thats because she reminds me of a babysitter i had when i was young

As if they have brought Tracy in to the plot! I loved Jane/Alison and Chris's amazing acting in the love square thing, I even could put up with Ben, but now we have Tracy in the midst of things

On the other hand I can't wait to see more from Jane in the next episode, and I must say I love the top she is wearing.

I agree with you 100%, but sadly all the best awards go to EE, when mostly they do not deserve them, think back a couple of weeks, you cannot trust the public vote to get it correct, look at Strictly and Xfactor etc.

Yes, even though she deserves a public voted award it can end up been a popularity contest, she stands a much better chance of winning a panel voted award

Just a current bump because she has been amazing theese past couple of weeks with the whole wedding blessing and stuff.

Jane's great, such a fantastic actress! She definately needs to be recognised at the soap awards for her recent work especially but you know what these panels are like she probably won't even get shortlisted!
Has anyone ever met her ? or got her autograph? How long does she take to reply?
