I hated Peter wallowing in self pity and trying to make out that he's the victim because Simon wants to be with Leanne. Even worse is that Carla was on Leanne's side the other week but now she's joining in with blaming Leanne.
I'm thinking that being with Peter has seriously tamed her character.

Loved Leanne's scenes with Carla. The bitching between them always makes for good scenes. I really like the way Jane and Alison bounce off each other.
Carla's really made a huge mistake though. Whatever way you try and dress it up, P&C just want Leanne far away to make life easier for them - that is 1) Ridiculously selfish and 2) Just not realistic. If I were Leanne I'd be fuming too.

Yes, Jane and Alison are good together, I just wish the storyline hadn't happened and they could have carried on being good mates.

I felt so sorry for her tonight when she saw P&C canoodling in the bookies' doorway. The hurt on her face was horrible to see

I know that a lot of people are thinking that Leanne shouldn't be acting the way she is (eg, storming into the flat/making gibes at Carla etc) but I don't think she's had a proper chance to recover from what P&C have done to her. When she came back after that 2 week break, she was still deeply hurting. She came back to find that Carla had been moved right in and Simon was desperately unhappy. So she sticks around for him but then Peter tries to erase her from all their lives which culminates in the "ban". Peter's turned on her so viciously and then Carla suggests that she leave because she's making life difficult for them(!). The fact that it was Leanne who was made out to be the problem annoyed me. Peter was the problem! Peter and his total refusal to negotiate or compromise.
So basically P&C destroy her world, but she's not allowed to moan about it or hit back at them? I'd challenge anyone to not be bitter/resentful/hostile if they'd experienced that. Leanne isn't superhuman.

I'm a bit concerned that about what Peter said to Carla about Leanne "winning". That makes it sound as if Simon is the prize in their game.
I believe that Simon is the only good thing that's still left from Leanne's relationship with Peter and she wants to keep hold of that. She loves Simon like he's her own and for Peter to pull rank and dictate if she can see him or not is just ridiculous. I do think that she genuinely wants Simon, but I wouldn't deny that it'd be a wake up call to Peter that she'd relish. Peter may be the biological father, but that doesn't automatically make him the better parent. He should stop thinking that that fact just trumps everything.

But basically what I said in short was, I think a lot of people on this forum who like a specific character are a bit closed minded (I'm not referring to anyone in particular, nor any particular character) and it's easy to step back and appreciate the whole scenario - in this case, sure I adore Carla but in Leanne's position, I'd be hurting badly, Peter may have treated her awfully at times, but tonight proved to me (for the first time in a while actually) that there were still lingering feelings for him on her part and it can't be easy for her. Sure I hate the way she behaves at times but honestly, most of the time I can't blame her and it's easy to get annoyed at her because I like Carla.

I wont go onto my thoughts about her barging into the flat, you probably don't want to hear them aha!

I totally agree with everyone sticking up for their favs though, I mean why wouldn't they? It's natural to!

I just felt really bad for her tonight when she saw them. I've said before that I think, despite everything, she still loves Peter deep down and the look on her face tonight confirmed it. She seems to be willing to be civil to Peter, but won't be to Carla. When she was mouthing off in the pub, it was specifically about Carla - even though Peter's treated her far worse imo.

I can guess that she won't have come out of that flat confrontation too well

I agree with the previous three posts. Love and hate can be very close with a thin line between them, and love doesn't switch off easily IMO.

Just thought I'd post this as I'm sure Leanne will be involved in the latter somehow:

Seen on twitter a photo of an article from a mag saying something like 'Carla wonders whether she should leave Peter for Simon's sake..'

and then following it, '.. as the boy's behaviour leads to an emergency' or something like that.. can't remember it words for word.

+ Leanne snaps at Nick after another run-in with Peter.
+ Leanne opens up to Nick about her heartbreak over Peter and now Simon - but is there still unfinished business between them?

Please, please PLEASE don't put Nick and Leanne back together! I hate that he seems to be the only option for her. She should either get a shiny new love interest (preferably NOT Carla's brother) or just stay on her own for a while and focus on Simon.
