Jane was amazing tonight...Peter has really lost his marbles. That outfit he had on was just terrible, sooooo unflattering!!lol at Carla wearing the converse, was probably to disguise how small Peter looks beside her!!
I see a Peter and Leanne reunion for sure, that last scene with Leanne,Nick and Simon was very very telling.Plus he is still wearing his wedding ring! |

Love Leanne's hair in that photo. I take it her and Eva will be on good terms before Sunita and Karl are revealed. |

I thought Peter and Carla looked ridiculous tonight. You just wouldn't put them together, really don't like them as a couple. They are too destructive and selfish.

Firstly I have to say - They've gone!!!
![]() ![]() Finally a break from this merry-go-round! Hallelujah! Jane did an ace job of running through all Leanne's emotions again; Sheer panic after Simon's phone call, desperation when begging Carla to tell her if she knew anything, anger when she found out about Peter's plan and heartbreak waiting for Simon's choice. I do have to say though that I wish the stand off between Leanne and Carla at the flat would've gone on a little longer. I loved seeing them both have the fire back in them. Leanne's line about Carla taking Peter/Simon was delivered brilliantly, so emotionally charged. I do have to say though that making Simon choose like that was a bad on both Leanne and Peter's part. It was a hell of a huge decision to place on Simon, plus it was against the clock so added pressure. He had to choose Leanne though because he still doesn't want to be living with Carla. Was quite a sad scene though. I agree with smashbox re the "home" line. I immediately thought of the bookies too. Also, when Leanne and Simon arrived back on the street weren't they standing outside it, staring up? That kind of felt like a possible sign of things to come to me. The fact that Leanne and Nick were snappy doesn't bode well either. Definitely not in it for the long haul! |

I am wondering now whether Leanne and Simon will live in the flat above the bookies or Nicks?

Jane was just so bloody good last night. Once again, it's just the range of emotion she takes Leanne through, such a talent. It was so sad that Simon was forced to choose right in that moment, really heartbreaking. A real shame that it had to come to his choice again after the initial 'hand over' when Peter realised that he really wanted to be with Leanne. I agree with the comments about the significance of the train station – must have been incredibly bittersweet for Leanne [maybe for Peter, too?] to be there again, but the past doesn't always seem to feature in soaps. The end scene between Leanne, Nick and Simon just added to the general sadness of the whole thing. I do wonder how long they'll persist with this, because if the feelings aren't there [and don't they all KNOW that they aren't!] then you just can't force it. I did wonder why Nick didn't feature, but in some ways that was a good thing - Leanne definitely knows how to fight her own battles.

Can't really blame her for feeling that way after what she's been through, but it just leaves the door open for a lot of heartache in the future, which is never a good thing. Gail's cocktail shaking was brilliant. |

It stood out for me, too. For all the flip-flopping and swings and roundabouts with the latest storylines, at least there was consistency in the scene with Ken. I don't know if there was even a reason as to why she went to see him, but it didn't matter. He cares about her future and about Simon's and hopefully that will continue to be the case. He could also see right through the charade of her relationship with Nick. I thought it was interesting that Ken made reference to Leanne and Nick's past. I've always thought that he thinks so highly of her because of the length of time he's known her. He knows the teenager she was and the woman she is now and everything in between – something that only Gail and Nick also have experience of.

I think Leanne and Nick's days are numbered already, quite frankly. The look on his face and his obvious unease about Leanne wanting to run the bookies  He can clearly see she's trying to get her old life back bit by bit. She's got Simon, now she's taking back the bookies....The excuse about it being half hers didn't wash with me. I see an ulterior motive and so can Nick. I feel sorry for him in a weird way
![]() On the plus side, it looks like Gail's softened a lot towards Leanne, judging by tonight's interaction! I'd love to see her abseiling or bungee jumping with Simon! Corrie spin off DVD perhaps?

I am loving Leanne and Gail! I can see why she'd want to run the bookies. It was her living afterall this past few years and as she said is half hers. She looked lovely tonight aswell...weird that they seem to be dressing her better now.

The Stella/Gail dynamic is at least one plus in Leanne getting back with Nick, but I'm still not feeling any "love" with those two - I know we're not supposed to because there isn't any, but there should be at least some show of faux love from Leanne. It still feels like they're just good friends
Last night's stuff with Tracy was quite funny to watch (awful top aside) and I loved seeing Leanne stringing her along. Even better was when Simon quoted Peter's "she's workshy and feckless" Leanne's so much better when she's like that, rather than constantly frowning and moaning about Peter! She needs to stay like this!!! What amazed me though is the anti-Leanne brigade actually trying to stick up for Tracy! The usual cries of "hypocrisy/Saint Leanne ( ) smug" were made because she dared to be a bit cruel to the murderer I'm glad that there's a reconciliation with Eva too. I'm sure that they'll both rally round Stella this week when the affair comes out. I hope that they'll build a proper sisterly relationship though rather than just saying lines like "she's my sister" or "she's family". I remember when Eva was upset over the Nick thing and she said something like "I love her (Leanne) so much mum". As nice as that was to hear, it just didn't feel that genuine because we'd never really seen much sisterly bonding between them. |

I like the competitive grandmothering between Stella and Gail, at least it has brought some humour into this storyline. ![]() Yeah, I'm interested to see how Leanne and Eva will patch things up, but it will be good for them to be a bit more solid before the affair reveal, as you say. |
