Desperate Liz Locke is 'Open to Offers'
Liz's twitter bio says: Open to offers & excited to explore various business opportunities!
So in reality she got fired over year ago and yet she's on twitter desperate for work and retweeting comments that Lord Sugar made a big mistake. |

I think part of the reason why Lord Sugar fired her is because she just looks the sort of person who really wants a career in the entertainment industry.

I could NOT stand that woman. So SMUG, Glad she got her Marching orders before Stuart.
I wouldn't trust her at all in business. |

The Apprentice has just aired. She did well on it. It makes sense to signal to any potential employers that job offers will be considered. Unlike the tabloids and some DS posters, real employers can recogise skills that they might find useful and are worth their time talking about. This has certainly happenned for previous candidates who showed themselves to be very employable (eg S5 Howard, S4 Simon) who got better jobs off the back of TA.

Yes she is just like the other celebrity wannabe Kath Walsh who is now presenting 'very badly' on something called Live on 5 every evening.
As jobs go its far better than anything Sugar has given anyone. She's interviewing the same people Norton, Winkleman and Ross do, with the same A list guests, more often, and she often gets more out of them. She also gets to go on lots of outside assignments people pay lots to go on. There's no comparison with selling pointless advertising screens or anything else thats been on offer on the Apprentice since series 2. Liz seems to be doing what anyone intelligent would do, and most of this years notable candidates seem to be doing - seeing what opportunities come up. Past experience is that some people will get better offers in their own line of work, others will branch out into lecturing on business/life skills and supporting business education and others will end up doing somehing new like running internet selling sites for others or themselves, some will get TV work. They will all use name recogntion from the Apprentice as best as they can. Presenting Channel 5's version of the BBC's film and celebrity shows,or anything else, is hardly less interesting, worthwhile, or, you suspect, lucrative. |

errr... Liz actually was a very successful candidate on the Apprentice, I shouldn't need to remind you how far she got. So what if she's touting for work? I can't help but think people will always find a reason to dislike her because she is very good looking, successful and intelligent.

I couldn't care less about her looks, I am not a shallow pathetic little moron. If she really is capable then good luck to her.
What about her other attributes? She wasn't just a pretty face. You sound bitter. |

I think there are far more desperate candidates than Liz. IMHO she should have been in the final.

We all know Liz got fired so they do a hatchet job on Stuart B(r)aggs in the following episode at interviews. Was purely a "good TV" moment.

So anyone that notices that shes pretty is instantly a "shallow pathetic little moron"?
What about her other attributes? She wasn't just a pretty face. You sound bitter. I agree that Liz has plenty of good attributes, and wasn't saying that she was there for her looks. Hence I said I didn't care about her looks (well, I don't) - I meant because there are many good things about her character and performance to comment on! Quote:
calm down, calm down you'll give yourself a heart attack!!

Don't know why there are so many sour grapes on Liz putting this out of twitter by some posters here. Jealously?
I'd say that it was a good move, or 'shrewd as LS might put it, on her behalf. I'm sure she will do well. |

She could do worse than a NUTS photoshoot to tide her over.

You also just have to look at what Saira, Ruth, Clare and Michelle and some of the US winners do - they present, they get TV shows, they lecture, they set up niche training or selling businesses, they write newspaper columns, some even write how to succeed books... |
