A Room With A View has male frontal nudity. The scene with Julian Sands, Simon Callow and Rupert Graves all jumping into the stream. It was quite amusing to see it wasn't censored when it was shown on More 4 last week, in the early afternoon.

It's real blink-and-you'll-miss-it stuff, but you very briefly see (or at least, appear to see) the front bits of Nikki Sanderson (aka Candice off of Corrie) in the film Boogeyman 3.

Ewan McGregor has never been one to shy away from stripping off as he has appeared fully nude in 'Trainspotting' and 'Young Adam.'
And Velvet Goldmine and The Pillow Book...

The Pillow Book...
Actually all of Peter Greenaway's films feature a lot of full frontal nudity.

Also Bob Hoskins in both Pennies from Heaven and Mrs Henderson Presents.

European movies have never been afraid to show everything, it's puritanical America where it's an issue.
The documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" is a good look at just how puritanical the rating of American films can be.

And yet at the same time you get Cable TV companies like HBO which filled shows like Boardwalk Empire with full-frontal nudity.

I rather liked the nude love scene in Hotel New Hampshire, between Jodie Foster & Natassja Kinski. Was in original cinema release ............ never seen it since!

(please don't mention jenny agutter, chaps ...... if my trousers suddenly have a hole in them, i'll have to buy some more).

There's actually a film called "Shortbus" as well that got an 18 certificate in this country and that arguably goes even further than "9 Songs" did.
I saw that recently- one of the worst films ever!

Has anyone yet mentioned the 16yo Jenny Agutter getting all her kit off in Walkabout?

And it's still much less common to see male full frontal than female.
We have never really seem female genitalia in a main stream movie though.

Not sure it would be allowed to be shown unshaven.

Went to see Love and Other Drugs last night - bit of full frontal from Jake Gynehall and Anne Hathaway - they were at it in every other scene

Better not watch 'Cashback' then.

I was talking more about mainstream films or what might be shown on tv.

How about 'Basic Instinct' then? Admittedly blink and you'll miss it, but it's there.

And thinking about it I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 'Cashback' on Film 4, or even Channel Four sometime.

Regards

Mark

I don't think it counts as 'full frontal nudity' if genitals weren't shown, like in Love And Other Drugs.

Yep, he took the role.
As was Eva Green. She couldn't have really shown much more and not gone all gynaecological on us.
