Thankyou Tiger Rose, is Brian Joubert competing, he's my favourite

I love Brian too, although I'm a Plushenko girl at heart

Will definitely be tuning in tonight for the free dance - haven't had a chance all week but now the telly's free and Mr LL's out for the night. Go Kerrs!

We don't have Eurosport but I have been told I can watch it on the BBC sport website. I had a look yesterday and had trouble finding any mention of Ice Skating!

Yes I was pleased for Robin and Aliona even with the mistakes. They're really the only pairs skaters I always find interesting to watch (generally prefer the ice dance).

So happy for Florent Amodio, I love his long program this year so I hope he skates it clean. It'd be great if he won. Pity about Brian Joubert being in 7th but he's not been on his best form for a while. Although this year may end up being the first time he's been off the podium at Euros since 2001.

Excited for the Kerrs... loved them skating to the Ting Tings.

We cancelled our subscription for Sky Sports as it was too expensive, but pay £1 a month for Sky Sports News - which we then found included Eurosport. Could that be an option for you?

I heard rumours that this was going to be J&S last year of competition - do you know if it's true?

Yes, Robin and Aliona were magnificent as usual and, like Tiger Rose, I could watch them all day but I must admit to liking the 3 Russian couples.
I am watching the ladies short programme at the moment, I can't wait for tonight though, I have my bottle of wine handy, hoping to celebrate a medal with J & S.

Yes that's the rumours going round although i don't think they have announced anything definitively. I'm hoping they might do another year as the Europeans next year are in Sheffield and it would be great to see them compete in a championship on home soil. If they win a medal tonight & do well at the worlds perhaps they may carry on. I know they lost their funding though at the end of last year (all the funding for British Figure Skaters was cut along with the skiers) so that could be an issue too.

I enjoy the Russians and also loved watching the Italians too but Robin & Aliona just have that extra spark & are so engaging to watch.

Caught the end of the ladies & the standard there looked good.

Just going to pop out for a takeaway before the Ice Dance.

By the way for those of you without Eurosport the BBC are apparantly now going to show the Ice Dance on the Red Button as well as the website so you could try that although I know they didn't have the pairs on last night.

It looks as if they are only showing tennis online and via the red button
If anyone finds it can you post it please and at least I might be able to catch some of it!

Try again later - Eurosport was supposed to start at 6:30 but they have Tennis highlights on there too at the moment.

Red Button is showing tennis until 9.15pm and there is no Ice Skating in the listings!

Ooh goody, highlights of the leaders after the short programme. The Kerrs looked great - John Kerr really is fantastically hot I'm quite enjoying the French couple in the lead at the moment as well.

Of the free dances so far, I liked the Italians in pink best, and the Lithuanians who did the Les Mis programme. Loads of drama and excitement!

I can't believe it. Watched the first few skate then hubby came in and put a film on (he hates skating). Tried to find it online at the BBC but can't find it. *stamps feet* and tries not to explode.
Will just have to hope that you kind people here will keep me upto date with what's happening.
Thank you in advance.
I did hear Nikki Slater say that the Kerr's were 'doing' something different and that it was looking really good. Anyone know what that is?

Very impressed with the both of the Kerrs routines, tonights was different to what I've seen of them before but very good.

I am that fed up with the BBC that I have complained:

Time after time the BBC cancels afternoon programmes to show sports such Darts, tennis and snooker, but when it comes to Ice skating we have to make do with edited highlights. The European championships have been taking part in Berne and Great Britain is being represented by John and Sinead Kerr who are the current European bronze medalists. It would have been nice to be able to watch it live on the BBC or the Red Button service, sadly we have been able to do neither. How does the BBC decide which sports to show? I am a licence fee payer just the same as darts, tennis and snooker fans, so shouldn't I get the same opportunity to watch my favorite sport just as they do?

I expect the reply will just fob me off, but at least I feel better!

Thought John & Sinead were great - best I have ever seen them skate & a different style to what they have done previously too. Thoroughly deserved their broze medal.

Such a shame that the BBC didn't have any coverage, not even on the red button or website. There isn't even a report of it at all on the website. Given that Robin & Sue have been out there all week it does seem really daft. Let's hope for better next year when the championships are on home soil. Thank God for Eurosport, although I do appreciate that not everyone has that.

It may already have been mentioned (in which case I apologise) but BBC showing highlights (including John & Sinead) Sunday afternoon.
