There were 2 articles one re her and another one person (cannot remember which was which) one was someone who had been approached re writing for the XF stable including 1D and Matt (the paper added the names and tbh I assumed it was really 1D they had been brought in for) the other was someone saying she'd like to write for Matt (subtle difference) I don't have the links any more but I certainly have not seen an articel saying someone had been commissioned to write FOR Matt

Given the sort of stuff she writes I cannot see a fit with Matt

I don't recall that

sill think the XF tag rather than Matt specifically is right - she writes pop lyrics for Miley, Britney and is a 22 year old girl - surely she is the perfect fit for 1D. Flies completely in the face of the Chriss Briggs article too in terms of it not being pop. Perhaps its wishful thinking but I'm choosing not to believe this one

Yes I think your right .........Matt can sing almost anything - maybe they will work together. Knowing Matt and his ability to charm she might let him write it.

Just skimming back through thread....think it was QM in part 14, asking about different vocal style on Darwyn v. 7S.

The way I thought things happened was this:

When in studio recording Darwyn album, the owners spoke to Matt about his vocal technique and said possibly going to damage his voice (the way he hit the high notes)....as a consequence, Matt took some singing lessons and his dad says that that helped him and that he sings better than ever now.....I think that is where the transition in technique comes from. I remember early on in XF there was an article in his local paper and they spoke to the studio (I think) and his mum/dad were quoted in there.

EDIT : also, it's weird, but when we've spoke about song writing etc,....always had a feeling the name Guy Chambers might get thrown into the mix....I think it would be a good thing.

LOL I don't think that they would mention those names in connection with Matt had they not been true SC would really cause them grieve. Mind you he could just be buying a guitar as you say.

no idea where he lives but given he has a lot of press re Robbie's new contract just before he joined take that I assume he's UK based (not that it matters in the record industry) did you see that he was the person who signed Crowed House!!

I have tweeted syco news to ask them if its true - you never know they might respond
