Whats T816 and other versions about? I've got the Digihome DTR160 at version 2.7, is this the latest version?

Basically, the Digihome is made by Vestel and there were different hardware revisions over the years. The DTR160 was originally a T816 model, but was subsequently replaced with the newer T825 model - both were called the DTR160. Since you have 2.7, that almost certainly means you have the T825 model (which has series link, for example, unlike the T816).

The latest software version for this box is 13.0, but I would suggest that if you have no problems with 2.7, then stick with that. There are no significent feature improvements with 13.0 over 2.7 - in fact, some of the features were removed due to patent issues. So, it's mainly just bug fixes. The main reason behind 13.0 was to solve problems that some users had with their boxes after digital switchover.

Yeah it has series record, it's not a bad PVR but does like to slow down and crash every now and then. Was version 13.0 ever broadcast over the air?

Yes - the 13.0 update was broadcast last July. The update can be done via the RS232 port should you wish, and the 2.7 software is also available if you decide you don't like 13.0.

I'll check if it has 13.0 now as I know it was shipped with 2.7 and it's been in standby every night last July as I know at 3.00 it checks for updates as the hard drive powers up aswell and does a disk check...
