Wow, so I CAN reign it in at Christmas.
This is the first Xmas where I actually consiously decided not to completely mindlessly eat. I still had plenty of chocolate and stuffing and turkey and all the other yummy stuff and had two or three blowout days, but that's opposed to 10 blowout days every other year. I just made a few small changes but cumulatively they paid off. I only gained 2lbs this Xmas as opposed to the 7lbs I usually gain. I think I'm growing up!

Well, I recently lost 8lbs and just didn't want to put it all back on. Yeah, being sick can do wonders (unhealthy wonders) for weight-loss. When I was ill with Crohn's a few years ago, I lost a full stone in a week and a half, nine pounds in one week. But it wasn't healthy weight-loss, it was muscle wasteage and I actually looked awful.
Hope you get well soon! ![]() |
