Panasonic Viera FreeSat cable
Hi all,
Just wondering what cable I need to connect my Panasonic Viera TXL42D25BA to the satellite connection in my flat (we have a communal aerial). I know the manual refers to the set having a Female F-type 75 Ω input but when I went into Maplin they (as it turned out after I got home) had supplied me with an RF cable. If anyone could point me in the right direction (or even a link to the cable on either the Maplin or another site) I'd be grateful. Many thanks |

Maplin can be a bit hit and miss. Their FT125 is about the best grade satellite cable they have by the metre, but me and the rest of the Aerial Installation industry stopped using 5-celled cable like that ages ago. It's really cheap cable, but they sell it for a massive mark up.
My basic satellite cable is less than 40p per metre in short lengths. Even my ultra high grade Serial Digital cable is less than their FT125!! Anyway, if Maplin is convenient then you want FT125 cable @ £1.89/m 2 x CT125 F plugs @ £2.09 ea a 3m fly lead will cost you £9.85 + your transport & parking costs If you think that's a bit of a rip off I could supply you something far better quality and include postage for less than a fiver ![]() Second thoughts, go find an aerial installer in your local area. They'll be able to fix you up with something decent
