I wonder if Liz got an apology?
Sugar practically admitted he made a mistake firing her on YF. He's only previously admitted that he made a mistake on the show twice. The last time was with keeping Sophocles in S4, the first time was when he fired Miriam in S1.
I've noticed quite a few parallels between Liz and Miriam (I've only seen clips of S1 on Youtube, but I do know a bit about the candidates from that series). Apparrently, Miriam was the only candidate to get a public apology for being fired. Look under Miriam Staley: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...ck-842785.html I wonder if Liz got/will get the same. I guess you could say she partially did, looking at some of AS's staements afterwards. That would make her the second candidate Sugar apologised to. |

Miriam's was a strange sacking. She excelled at the task herself, to the extent that the TV company said there was a job waiting for her should she want it. But she was project manager and her team lost.
Personally I'd have sacked Paul without a second thought, but Suralun revealed that he had nearly sacked her early on in the process so I suppose the doubt was still there in his mind. Of course we now know that keeping "mercurial barrow-boy types who remind him of his yoof" in past their sack-by date is par for the course with Lord Shugga |

Liz was partly to blame. She was very meek in the boardroom. She should have defended herself better and attacked Baggs's BS.

If she'd attacked Baggs then she would be likely to follow in Paloma's footsteps. And sane and rational person would have thought: "no on is going to be so stupid that they are going to fall for that load of old bollux". It's just unfortunate that Sugar proved her wrong. |
